4 stars. It's not a blacklight; it's a UV light bar. Although fluorescent objects come to life under its illumination, it emits FAR too much visible light to be regarded as a true blacklight. This product should absolutely be made with 365nm LEDs. There is simply too much visible light at 390nm! Seriously, I'm baffled as to why they didn't create this with them. It emits enough visible light to distinguish fluorescent colors, which shouldn't be possible with a blacklight. It produces shadows. Additionally, it's really hard on the eyes, so if it's not above your head, your eyes will be GLARING. This item is ideal for a nightclub environment where it may be hung on the ceiling and utilized to illuminate objects. The visible light wouldn't matter because it makes the entire room glow purple! If you do "blacklight shows," shadows will be cast. a situation you wouldn't want to occur! If you want a blacklight for your bedroom or other small space, choose for a high power CFL (compact fluorescent) or a conventional tube. However, in a professional party or rave atmosphere, this device would be wonderful. This object is simply too bright! I wish I could ask the producers why they don't use 365nm LEDs in this design. These were purchased for this year's Halloween decorations in my front yard. I'm pleased with these LED UV lights because they are the first I've used. In shop light fixtures, I've always used pairs of 48" BLB tubes, but these are superior in many ways—at least for my needs. Here is a summary of advantages and disadvantages to help you determine if they would be useful to you:It is possible to mount these lights virtually anywhere thanks to the mounting hardware that is included, the flexible connections, and how thin and light they are. They are also much more powerful than fluorescent bulbs at illuminating UV paint and fluorescent objects from a distance. Finally, these lights are built into their own fixture, giving you more options for use and installation. The object doesn't have to be right adjacent to these for it to glow. UV spiderwebs on the upstairs balcony were illuminated by a couple of these lights that were placed on the ground in my yard about 30 feet from my home. BRIGHT! These lights are extremely bright and produce a stunning purple light wash. These lights are sufficiently bright to improve visibility wherever you place them.- VERY BRIGHT! These lights provide a visible wash of purple light, are bright, and cannot be dimmed. It might be best to stick with fluorescent bulbs if you simply want to observe the UV glow effect rather than the light that causes it.The fact that these lights are not waterproof is also important to know; therefore, if you want LED UV lights to use outside for an extended period of time, these are probably not the ones for you.Having said that, I am content with these lights and will likely purchase more in the future.

For a glow party we were planning for my daughter's birthday, I initially purchased three CFL-style UV black lights to fit into a two-car garage. Two of those lights were in the room's center, while a third was mounted on a wall. Simply put, those lights weren't powerful enough for a two-car garage (maybe if I had 8 of them they would have been enough). I then started looking around and discovered these. They were almost ideal for a two-car garage until I installed them on opposite walls. They don't have an on/off switch, which is the one (quite tiny) issue I have with them. They turn on when you plug them in. They turn off when the power is removed. However, I was fine with that because I was aware of it before I bought them (from another reviewer, I believe). Putting that aside, these actually played a significant role in making my daughter's glow party a huge success with both children and adults. For a glow party, I reviewed some UV tape, UV balloons, and UV paint that we also used and that I would suggest using in addition to these lights. Or else, glow home!Please remember that the ceiling and walls of my garage are all painted black. The floor is not black; it is simply the color of cement.REVISION 7/21/2018I'm including a few photos I shot with my phone's camera (SAMSUNG Galaxy S8 , no flash). The UV-reactive tape and balloons in the pictures are items I've reviewed elsewhere. This will demonstrate how the tape and balloons seem when illuminated by these lights. This is what I want to buy to use for UV bleaching. Although the product satisfies the requirements specified, it is simply insufficiently robust. Regarding the three stars, this is because the device overheated after being used continuously for eight hours. Additionally, the power button occasionally stops functioning. Additionally, it is unclear if the product primarily emits UVA, UVB, or UVC. Overall, this will brighten your fluorescent items if you get it for a party.Update: The vendor has shipped a new device, and I'll update when it does.Update: A new device has been delivered, but I won't get to use it until the new year. 5 out of 5 stars for the vendor's responsiveness and capacity to assist in fixing defective goods. This and UV LED flood lights were both options I was considering, but I ultimately decided to go with this. It seems to fit my needs more well. I prefer that the intensity isn't too high and that the output is more distributed because I have UV reactive items strewn across the room. The output of the flood light versions is most intense in the middle and decreases toward the edges.The on/off switch and 5' wire are very helpful. The floodlight has a short cable, so you'll either need to attach it to a three-prong extension cord or put it close to an outlet. Additionally, it lacked an on/off switch, making it harder to turn on only certain parts of the device. The way it stands is the last reason I chose this over floodlights. Both are probably intended to be permanently mounted, but as I only work on occasion, it isn't as practical. It's great to have this sit on different surfaces and have the option to direct the light. Since the flood light is top-heavy and lacks a sufficient stand, it is not a possibility. They are the light bars. Although our eyes aren't really trained to see UV light, the output is steady, and it certainly appears bright. Reactive goods have a very bold appearance and stand out sharply. For the same price, getting 3 units instead of 2 is a better deal.

I buy things that already have a ton of insightful reviews, so by the time I make a purchase, hundreds, if not thousands of other people have given their opinions on that same product, like most clever buyers.That sort of applies here as well, but I mostly wanted to write this to draw attention to the excellent customer service. I bought this blacklight's portable model and used it assiduously to shine a light on a "Blade Runner" poster. Whether it was on the high setting or the low setting, the light started to flicker around two weeks ago. Strange. I spoke with customer service and explained my problem. I received a response straight soon, and the guy I was speaking with announced they would send a replacement bulb without asking any further questions.Naturally, I was flattered and gave their tech department a video of my problem. They were able to evaluate the situation remotely and provide me with the appropriate remedy (it was the USB adapter that was glitching). With a USB phone adapter I had sitting around, I replaced the original adaptor, and *John Madden voice* BOOM! Issue is resolved. Today, on 12/14/18, I receive an email from UPS stating that my package has been delivered.Huh? I didn't place any orders. Then I recall: they promised to deliver a replacement light! When I open the package, I discover THREE extra lights AND a fresh USB adaptor. Simply amazing. Do you comprehend? This implies that even though I only paid for one bulb, I actually received FOUR thanks to the incredibly kind customer support. Sincerity be damned, I have no idea what to do with the extras. Read this review if you're looking to use for emulsion exposure. These were just what I needed and were reasonably priced. I am aware that these are also sold on Wish.com and most likely resold, but this is what they do. They serve as the exposure light in my screen printing exposure unit after I chopped them into 16 strips and soldered them back together in parallel on an 18x24 substrate. I spent about $50 on this, which is less than a $1,000–$2,000 device. For photopolymer, the exposure time ranges from 45 to 1 minute. have not yet attempted the dual cure. Since each light is connected in parallel, there is no variation in brightness when the lights are disassembled, rearranged, and soldered back together. They may very much be cut to any length and arranged whatever you like. Both strips produced enough blacklight to illuminate my garage completely. Although I don't frequently write reviews for affordable imported devices, I'm pleased with this one.

These are outstanding! Extremely powerful black lights that were fantastic in our tiny cemetery at Halloween. Excellent value for the pair at this pricing. We utilised them outside with no problems despite the wind, rain, and even snow on Halloween where we reside in Chicago. They were all strong and joyful.
