You may learn a lot about the manufacturer just from the box. Even if we are paying for it, the packaging of a product tells me a lot about the vendor or producer. The weight of the drain assembly is evident once it has been opened. It's weighty. With the strong seals that are provided, installation is simple (although I still recommend plumbers putty or some similar product around the sink openings). The size of the stopper is the only thing that requires getting used to. Although rather big, it only requires some getting accustomed to. Additionally, I advise placing your finger in the middle of the stopper when setting and releasing it rather than on its sides. Simply put, it appears to me that using the sides would eventually cause the seal to become less effective. I'm pleased with the goods so far.

In my mom's house, I quickly painted, installed a new toilet, and replaced the vanity.The new vanity includes a drawer and shelf inside a cabinet that is taller and narrower. The plumbing was then affected by this. The wall tube came out of the cabinet's stub directly on top of the shelf, which would have required me to remove a portion of the shelf in order to make room for the P-trap, something I was not willing to do. Additionally, the remainder of the pipes are 1.5 and the drain tail from the sink is 1.1/4. So I went online and discovered Snappy Trap. I had also found another product that was comparable, but I ultimately chose Snappy Trap, and I'm pleased I did. If you've never changed a p-trap before, the instructions are excellent and will help you choose which parts to use. I've completed a few of these in the past, so I had faith that I could determine the ideal sink layout. I didn't have to cut into my new vanity, and it worked with both sizes of pipes I have! YAAAAH! I did take out the entire original pipe from the stub and replace it with new material. I connected a longer wall tube to the stub out and the extension from the sink drain to the P-trap. On the threads, I did apply plumber's tape, and it worked well the first time with no leaks.I am overjoyed with the outcomes of this fantastic product!Buy this item without hesitation. The directions are excellent, and it is quite simple to use.

As described, they are all built with some brass components (nuts/lockrings) and 304 type stainless steel tubing, which is steel and does not corrode, according to my recent examination. After five years, the 304 stainless steel exhaust on my automobile remains unaffected by the salty winter puddles in New Jersey. Please refrain from using wrenches or pliers on the pipes since they have tubing walls that are on the thinner side. Except for the locknut, which needs to be tightened, there is no reason to do anything else. The height of your home's trap and drain has nothing to do with this product, thus you might or might not need to cut the bottom pipe. Would you prefer it to be too brief? I didn't believe that. Nearly every provider of plumbing hardware does this on purpose. The way it looks and seems is fine. When compared to the expensive units sold in the Rosarito Pabellon Home Depot in Mexico, I'll see how long it lasts. They may not last as long as the KES, but it costs less and has a better appearance. It took some time to cut through the KES walls because they are at least 60%–100% thicker than the Mexican Home Depot equivalent. Very impressive chrome coating! (The one I replaced is absolute rubbish and can be crushed with your hands or fingers.) Without taking a saw to the stopper parts, I cannot be certain that the brass-colored pieces are pot metal (zinc/aluminum) that is coated in the brass hue. If you feel the need for perfection, use a level across the bowl, but chances are it is not level anyhow! Oh, and the threaded tube end has the traditional PTFE teflon (white) tape. Because someone stole my other rolls of tape, I really used Oatey gray colored tape. Additionally, the gray looks great with the finish.

That's how little I know about plumbing repairs—I've never even changed a faucet washer. Five minutes are required for installation in total (not including removal or the old assembly obviously). All that was required was an adjustable wrench, some plumbers putty, and plumbers tape. While tape is always required on threaded connections, putty was probably more for my own peace of mind.It does sit a little proudly, but this is more a result of the design of the sink. Although I possibly could have found a drain with a 60mm diameter, the quantity of puddling is not visible.We've had a pop-up stopper in the tub for a while, and I really appreciate it because it makes everything so much neater and easier to use.I don't anticipate it to last (the stopper) longer than a couple of years given the price point, but it's cheap enough and simple to install that I'll keep another one in the workshop.

If the vessel sink you choose does not already have a mounting ring, make sure to order one. Additionally, be sure to buy the vessel sink drain without an overflow. Water stains are difficult to see. Exactly what I needed has come along. Because my tub drain is high, I can't unplug it to take a bath. My plug also doesn't hold water. That's fantastic. Simply drop it on and gently push to establish a seal. Good suction. I wish I had discovered this earlier. Although a little more expensive than I would have liked to pay, it does the job, and that is a very good thing. In order to collect hair, I also have the drain mushroom. Because of how well made these items are, I'm starting to buy specific brands. If only a drain clog stopper could be created for drains that have hardware obstructions.

I've been looking for pop-ups that suit our 35-year-old bathroom sinks for more than six months now, but I have no idea what brand the hardware is. Several pop-ups that I attempted were either too short or too long, or the top was either too wide or too small, or they just didn't fit. No results from internet searches seemed to fit. When the drain stop on my bathroom sink broke, I went searching for a replacement. I opted to try the Sink Shroom after finding it throughout that search. It turned out to be a useful alternative for two reasons, though at the time I got it I was more concerned with finding something to temporarily keep objects from falling down the drain if they were dropped.It not only fits easily to keep foreign objects out of the drain, but it also prevents hair from going down the drain. No matter how hard my daughter and I try, our long, curly hair constantly ends up down the drain. Every week, I used to have to dig those clumped-up, unpleasant strands out of the drain with a lengthy tool. Before they get too far down the drain, those rogue hairs are caught by the Sink Shroom.When hair is trapped by the "shelf" at the bottom and coils around the center of the Sink Shroom, water can flow into the tube and down the drain through the holes in the tube. Other objects are prevented from falling down the drain by the upper "shelf."All I do now is remove it from the drain once a week, pluck the hair off, and clean the Sink Shroom with a Clorox wipe.1) A star is taken away because black slime accumulates over time. Even after soaking in bleach all night, it won't come off. After a year, I had to buy new since I could no longer bear the nastiness.2) The drain clears more slowly than it should. This is primarily a result of my drain's bottom shelf being larger than necessary. The silicone has been strategically sliced, allowing the round shelf to curve upward on top of itself just enough to create a tight seal that works nicely in my smaller drain, so it does fit. Due to overlap, the bending also reduces the size of the pores in the shelf, which can actually slow down water flow. This is especially true as hair accumulates on the shelf after being caught. A solution to this problem would be excellent because it would help get rid of a lot of the black slime that accumulates as well.The product is still something I would suggest. If I have to, I'll get a new one every year.
