Best Bath Towel Bars in 2022

Last update: December 21, 2022

Do people still use towel bars in bathrooms?

Towel bars are a common fixture in many bathrooms, but their usefulness is often debated. Some people find them helpful for hanging towels and keeping them within reach, while others find them to be unnecessary and prefer to use other storage options. There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to towel bars, it simply comes down to personal preference.

Do towels dry better on hooks or bars?

Some people say that towels dry better on hooks because they can air out better. Others say that bars are better because they are less likely to get musty. Ultimately, it is up to the individual to decide what works best for them.

How far from sink should towel bar be?

There is no definitive answer to this question as it depends on personal preference and the size of the bathroom. However, a good rule of thumb is to install the towel bar approximately 18 inches from the sink. This will ensure that there is enough space to hang towels without them getting in the way.

How many towel bars do you need in a bathroom?

If you have a small bathroom, you may only need one towel bar. If you have a larger bathroom, you may need two towel bars.

JQK Bath Towel Hook, SUS 304 Stainless Steel Coat Robe Clothes Hook for Bathroom Kitchen Garage Wall Mounted(Pack of 2), Brushed Finish Review:

For my master bathroom, I purchased a couple pieces of JQK hardware. a toilet paper holder, two hooks, a 30 inch towel ring, and two towel bars. All were incredibly simple to install, had sturdy build, and simply looked fantastic.JQK's client service is what makes them so unique. JQK employees provide AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. The attachment plate on one of the towel rings is bent. They sent another one without charge right away in response. They were out of stock when I needed to get another hook for my kitchen. They give me two hooks absolutely free. I've been an Amazon customer for years, and JQK always goes above and beyond to make sure their customers are satisfied and that they stand behind their products. I appreciate JQK's excellent products and even better customer support. You can't go wrong with JQK; I'll recommend their products without a doubt.

Nolimas 3-Pieces Set Matte Black Bathroom Hardware Set SUS304 Stainless Steel Round Wall Mounted - Includes 12" Hand Towel Bar,Toilet Paper Holder, Robe Towel Hooks,Bathroom Accessories Kit Review:

These towel hooks are strong and precisely what you need. Although they're incredibly simple to install, you'll leave black lines on the floor while you're deciding where to put them, as some of the other reviews have mentioned. Sincerelly, a magic eraser removed any smudges.A hex screw holds the outside towel hook to the component that is screwed into the wall after an interior part fastens to the wall. It performs admirably.

Fapully Four Piece Bathroom Accessories Set Stainless Steel Wall Mounted,Brushed Nickel Finished Review:

The architecture and building are robust and of the highest caliber. The parts are expertly crafted and beautifully polished.Although other reviews mention issues with the fixtures being out of level or loose, I can't fault the product for these issues. It is true that the supplied wall anchors are probably too small to ensure a secure connection to gypsum board alone by unskilled installation. I usually buy my wall anchors separately because this is true of many other high-quality bathroom accessories, including those made by Moen and Kohler. Though this is uncommon, take note that the Fapully screws for the wall anchors are made of premium stainless steel. There are slots on the section that gets screwed to the wall and two set screws that allow careful adjustment of the item's angle in order to maintain a level accessory for those that have only one anchor point (like the toilet paper holder). Again, a little talent is all that is needed.

Nolimas 3-Pieces Set Brushed Nickel Bathroom Hardware SUS304 Stainless Steel Round Wall Mounted - Includes 12" Hand Towel Bar, Toilet Paper Holder, Robe Towel Hooks,Bathroom Accessories Kit Review:

I'm talking about a device that stores rolls of cloth that you use to wipe your behind. What particulars should I include? It runs smoothly. It was affordable. I can't really comment on how simple installation is. As I get older, I'm becoming more aware of the differences between folks who are mechanically inclined and those who are not. I'm not sure if this toilet paper holder should serve as a yardstick. Just buy it; if you're not happy, contact Amazon's excellent customer care, and they'll make it right.

Moen DN8424BN Preston Collection 24-Inch Bathroom Single Towel Bar, Brushed Nickel Review:

This bar has a good polish, no seams, and no slop.Don't hold the manufacturer responsible if you can't affix a plate or clip to the wall. The mounting plates on this item are in perfect condition. The sole rule is that, unless you're a professional, you should never, ever, under any circumstances, use those tiny plastic conical anchor inserts to attach anything. They should not be used in drywall because they are hard material anchors, and if you do, it must be for a very light load. like a miniature painting or a clock. There are countless different wall scenarios, so the manufacturer can only offer basic suggestions. However, expecting four screws to remain in drywall's powdery, brittle plaster with a friction fit while enduring years of being slammed by large wet towels is absurd.I concur that the template and instructions that come with these bars are absolutely terrible. Here is a straightforward technique for mounting a towel rod. No template is required or desired. It makes use of the bar's ACTUAL length, which is helpful if you've slightly shorted it.Use a pencil to draw a horizontal line on the wall. To avoid having to later clean up pencil marks, I use blue masking tape.Attach the two end caps to the rod before taping everything together with some inexpensive electrical tape. Extend it.Place this assembly where you want it to be against the wall. Each end cap that contacts the wall should have a circle drawn around it by a volunteer. Gather the mounting clips, then set the assembly aside. In order to prevent the mounting set screw(s) from really falling out, back them out as far as you can.Mark the three holes, which should line up vertically, by inserting a clip in the center of each circle one at a time. Use the single center hole if you're using a toggle bolt and the two outer oval holes for screws. This central hole can occasionally be quite small. To check if there is wood backing behind the sheetrock, insert a screw into each hole.If you come across any wood, tighten the screws. If not, use a standard-sized Philips screwdriver pressed straight in to remove the screws and enlarge the holes. These one or two holes should be filled with anchors.Any masking tape should be removed. Install the bar. Cut the electrical tape off. If any adhesive leaked from the tape onto the bar, get the nail polish remover. Done.

Command by 3M 9" Towel Bar, Stylish Design, Easy On, Easy Off, (BATH41-SN-ES) Review:

To attach to the front of my new farmhouse sink, this device worked perfectly. There was simply no other way I could think of to have a towel bar nearby. Since my fixtures are oil-rubbed bronze, I was first worried about the hue. However, since my appliances are stainless steel, it looks great! It has been in place for a while and continues to hold up despite regular use and the occasional bump. The most crucial step in using any Command product, in my opinion, is to thoroughly clean the surface. If at all feasible, use rubbing alcohol, and allow it to completely dry. To actually get it on attach well, apply firm pressure to the sticky surface for AT LEAST 30 seconds. After treatment, allow around 30 minutes before hanging anything heavy. You won't need to reattach anything if you adhere to the directions.

Franklin Brass Kinla 5-Piece Bath Hardware Towel Bar Accessory Set, Oil Rubbed Bronze Review:

You simply cannot beat the pricing for five pieces on this wonderful set. It fits my oil-rubbed bronze light fixture and faucet wonderfully.I used a level, took meticulous measurements, and installed everything according to the template. Everything worked fine for me except the toilet paper holder. The toilet paper roll holder's sides are too closely packed together in the template, squeezing the plunger bar too much when it is put in the holder and making it impossible for the paper to easily roll around that bar. It's simple to fix: use the template to mark where the screws should go, but put one side an additional half inch outside of where the template indicates. You should only place the two sides of the holder as closely together as necessary to fit the plunger bar's end into the holder opening. You won't need to make any further adjustments, unlike me, if you make this half-inch adjustment. I had to remove one of the holder sides in order to move the screws an additional half inch apart before reinstalling them. The holder's circular base is sufficiently big to cover both my original screw holes and the new ones that I placed an additional half inch away. It saved me from having to fix the wall. Be cautious when installing the toilet paper holder, though. I snapped a picture of the toilet paper holder with the half-inch adjustment already made, and it can be seen that there is roughly 1/8 inch of extra room between the sides of the holder and the toilet paper roll. Still, I heartily endorse this collection. It fits other oil-rubbed bronze fixtures in my bathroom wonderfully, and I think the pricing for the five pieces was well worth it. P.S. Other reviews have expressed dissatisfaction with the towel bar rods spinning. On my, that never occurs because I used the template to precisely install them. You can twist them to make them spin, however when I take or put back the towel, they don't spin. They are not too loose.

AmazonBasics AB-BR817-OR Bathroom Hardware Set, 5 Piece, Oil Rubbed Bronze Review:

If we take the price into consideration, the quality is surprisingly good.metal structure only.Great looking oil-rubbed bronze finish, matching Delta shower head tub kit (see picture). The bases and hooks are coated in oil-rubbed bronze, but the bars (for towels and paper) and ring are black. When in use, they are usually covered, but in a well-lit space, you can see the color difference. If you need installation instructions, the included information is useless. There are 5 books, each with 50 useless pages of drivel and pictures of the contents of the box. I could just glance at the contents in the box; I wouldn't need 250 pages for that. Make templates out of that paper to help with installation. To assist in installing the bars, I assembled the bases and bar, set them on the ground, and took a measurement between the middle points of the two bases (see image).

Is it better to roll or fold towels?

There isn't really a right answer to this question, it is more of a matter of preference. Some people prefer to roll their towels because they feel like it saves space and keeps them more organized. Others prefer to fold their towels because they think it looks nicer or because they can fit more towels in their linen closet this way. Ultimately, it is up to the individual to decide which method they prefer.

Should grab bars be vertical or horizontal?

Most grab bars in bathrooms are installed horizontally above the toilet or near the shower. But are horizontal grab bars really the best option?
