grew weary of the nylon nets drying out and obstructing the ball's passage through the net. Cut the nylon net down using a ladder and some scissors. The SS net is simple to install, but here's a tip: leave the rubber band around the bottom of the net in place. This prevents the top net hooks from being entangled in the net. Grab a few of the metal hooks, and make sure the SS net with hole is installed from the inside. The installation only takes a few minutes if you slide the hook over the middle ring of the net holders.Eight months have passed since this net was installed as of May 30, 2017. still functions and looks fantastic.Update: As of October 11, 2017, the internet still looks fantastic and functions flawlessly. These nets have been hanging on the hoops since I installed them about seven weeks ago, and so far they have remained completely intact on the rims and have not shown any signs of fraying, even though going from having no nets to having two brand-new ones was bound to result in a significant increase in enjoyment. I honestly don't understand why so many reviewers complained that it was difficult to attach to the hoop without squeezing the attachment shut. I need a break! This network is AMAZING! It still looks brand new after several months of use on my son's hoop in the monsoons and heat of Arizona. I don't complain and am not that lazy to object to using pliers and squeezing the hook shut to keep it from coming undone. It's a perfect 5 stars!
