I'm astonished that this was delivered to my house by FedEx Ground. I receive a LOT of freight packages from all carriers, including UPS, FedEx, DHS, and freight trucks, and I believe this item is far too hefty for the container and the manner it is wrapped. According to my memory, the box was in "average" but acceptable condition and showed some signs of handling (cracked corners, rips in the cardboard, etc.), but the most of the poly strapping was still in tact. Despite the fact that nothing was broken inside, some of the parts had moved and weren't in their proper places on the carton. Perhaps you wouldn't be as fortunate if you lived farther away from the shipping location... We utilized a flat dolly to roll the carton into storage until it was time for assembly, so you will probably need help getting it inside because it's almost too big and unwieldy for one person to move.used the ground sleeve that was an option to install this. I used only around three 80lb bags of cement and excavated the hole a little bit smaller than indicated (about 24" diameter at the bottom, sloping inward to about 18" at the top) (they recommend about 6-8 bags, around 600 lbs if I recall...) To aid in support and drainage, I added a few bricks and some gravel to the bottom, and I also filled the bottom post with concrete. As the hoop will be around 24 inches from the edge of the playing area, consider where to place the ground sleeve in the center of the hole you dig "or so from the pole's center... Possible problem if tall delivery trucks approach the objective as closely as my driveway does.Don't skimp on this stage; make sure the hole is large and deep enough. Then, when the concrete sets, check the sleeve many times throughout the first few hours in both front and side orientations using a sturdy level. You only have one chance to get this right because you can't replace the sleeve later without digging a new hole if it isn't exactly plumb in both directions.The instructions are VERY comprehensive, and assembly of everything else was fairly simple. However, I seem to remember having some trouble figuring out the length of the correct bolts based on their item # in the instructions. It can be a little complicated because certain processes require bolts that are practically the same length, but it's nothing a skilled mechanic couldn't quickly figure out. The parts are packed with three-digit codes that match with each phase of the operation.Since I was working alone, there were a few challenging steps to accomplish, but I managed because I utilized the shipping carton to support the pole in the final steps and lay the pieces on it throughout installation to minimize damage. Since there are nylock nuts involved and, as I recall, assembly clearance is constrained in some locations, you must have a ratchet socket set, extension, and crescent or open end/box end wrenches.The finished assembly must be dropped into the ground sleeve, and more help is unquestionably needed. I discovered that by placing a short 4 foot ladder in front and an 8 foot ladder behind the sleeve, I could direct the complete assembly while three people lifted it into position and lowered it into the sleeve.My son is constantly shooting baskets because he loves it! Hoping the 1/8 "Compared to the previous portable model (from a different manufacturer), the acrylic backboard lasts longer before cracking or breaking from heat and UV exposure.Although there is some vibration when striking the backboard and the entire goal wobbles somewhat, I don't believe this is because of the concrete footing; rather, I believe it is because of the thin wall pipe and slip-joint sleeve type assembly. Overall, the performance is adequate. The goal assembly just required a couple of hours of effort from one person, but be patient and study the directions thoroughly first; you'll have plenty of time as the concrete needs a few days to cure. They'll be asking you when it will be ready the entire time!

Totally adore it. Because it's so durable, my friend who helped with installation is going to buy one. Zero sway on the 60 ". I created a 2x2x2.5-hole (17 80lb bags). The most "tough" task was actually just rough work mixing concrete. All of the posts, etc., were simple. Excellent directions. Have a vehicle for the backboard. It was turned down as we retreated toward the post. Two of us climbed onto the truck and raised the twelve "the wife slid the heavy bolts in higher. The hoops has made my youngster very delighted. The ball keeps getting stuck and the strings are a little too tight, but I'm confident that as it ages and wears, the strings will soften. The entire system appears fantastic. It did have some hiccups at the beginning, I will admit. In my initial shipment, two cranks were included rather than a single crank and an anchor kit. So I had a small fire drill the day before I was supposed to pour my concrete and had to reschedule it while I waited for the anchor kit to arrive. The next challenge was putting the post together once that was ready to go. The bottom piece crumbled when I tried to hammer them together since they fit so tightly. To have new posts sent out, make another call to the business. A few more days pass. Just almost managed to put the new posts together with the proper fit. I will add that the instructions and diagrams are clear and simple to understand. Certainly, seeing the videos is beneficial. If you want to attach the back board, you will surely need three strong individuals; do not even consider doing it with two, unless one of you is built like Duane Johnson and you have scaffolding. There are three necessary. To ensure that it is leveled appropriately, you must genuinely use a level at various stages. You'll be pleased if you precisely follow the instructions. Despite my initial issues, I'm really delighted with the outcome, thus I gave it four stars.

This is just amazing! came in about three to four days. I want to clarify a few things.1. It was SIMPLE to put together; don't believe other reviewers who claimed the directions were in Chinese; they are simple to understand.2. For the person who claimed to have a "damaged backboard," perhaps they had, but it's also possible that they neglected to remove the laminate plastic protecting layer, which is designed to withstand damage and be peeled off. Prior to realizing that I could peel the coating off, I believed my backboard to be destroyed.3. If you remember not to tighten the bolts that are designed to serve as a guide for the height adjustment handle rather than as structural support, it's incredibly simple to adjust and it works great.fantastic stuff I'm happy to have it so I can exercise outside more.

We are loving our new Goalrilla so much!In the beginning, the installation proceeded fairly smoothly. I viewed some install videos on YouTube before getting the delivery. To get a sense of what is involved, I strongly advise doing that. Fortunately, my 15-year-old son agreed to dig the 48"-deep hole needed for the goal's foundation. It was filled with approximately 11 bags of 80# concrete. It was convenient to have the 4 rebar included in the kit as it prevented me from making a second trip to the hardware shop. That aspect of the installation was relatively simple as long as you are careful when inserting the base plate and anchor bolts into the wet concrete. We tried our best to maintain everything level, and it came in very handy when it came time to set the pole. In order to protect them when we placed the pole, we also wrapped the tops of the anchor bolts in blue painter's tape.A few words of advise, but it wasn't difficult to attach the numerous arms and attachments to the pole. First, ensure sure the saw horses you use are supportive and cushioned. It's crucial to have a sturdy work surface because the pole becomes quite hefty. Second, the pole's center of gravity shifts when objects are fastened to it. The pole occasionally likes to roll over, so use caution. Third, numerous connections call for plastic washers to be placed between metal surfaces. It can be a little challenging to perform this, so having some support with this task was really beneficial.It is hefty because of the high quality build, but that is also the goal! Pay attention to the instructions in the installation handbook that state you should have several adults on present to help put up the pole and install the backboard. I received a lot of assistance, so it went nicely for me. It might have been a different story if I had been shorthanded, though. Three step ladders were also necessary for securing the backboard. As for the initial lift of the board, I strongly advise doing that as well.The rest was simple after the difficult labor was finished. We maintained the base plate fairly level, as I said before, so we didn't need to make many adjustments to the pole once we placed it. The net and the rim both went up rather simply. It was time to shoot some baskets after that! Being able to reduce it for my nine-year-old is wonderful.

Before settling on the Lifetime XL, I did a lot of research on several portable hoops. Compared to other backboards in the same price range, I appreciated that this one was larger (54 inches). It cost me $220 to buy it via Amazon (rather than a third party), which I think is a great deal. In less than a week, Amazon delivered the hoop to my house.I consider myself to be reasonably skilled when it comes to product assembly; it took me 2.5 hours to put this hoop together. If I had had a second adult to help, it might have gone a little quicker. I considered the instructions to be adequate, far superior to those seen on many other goods where they appear to be a literal translation from Chinese to English.In order to prevent the possibility of the water freezing over the winter and ultimately shattering the plastic base, we filled it with sand. After being filled, the base is large but yet manageable for a grownup to move over pavement (trying to move in the grass was a two person job).My son, 9, and 15-year-old daughter like that the height can be adjusted. They are both easily capable of adjusting the height on their own. When compared to a high school gym backboard, the backboard is a little flimsy, but I anticipated this given the extremely affordable pricing ($220). The firm, hefty, and orange rim is a welcome surprise. A ball that strikes the rim deflects off without the rim moving at all.Overall, a great product that will inspire my kids to put down their electronics and get some exercise and fresh air.

purchased on Black Friday during a bargain. After 4 months, I finally got around to installing it! Installation wasn't too challenging. I hired someone to dig the hole and cement in the main pole, but after seeing them, I realized I could have done it myself. wasn't that difficult. They took roughly two hours (1 man and a helper). After waiting three days, we installed the last components, including the backboard, arms, rim, etc. The written instructions are excellent, and all screws and bolts have labels for quick identification. The backboard is hefty, but my 15-year-old son, my 10-year-old son, and I were able to hoist it while my youngest son installed the screws to "hold" it. got to work. Concerning the "wobble," don't worry. Although it moves, you rarely notice it because it has no impact on the game. Kids adore it, it looks great. extremely well crafted, it seems.

Well, before I bought this hoops system, I did a lot of research. I wanted a glass backboard, a square tube pole, and a mid-range (around $400) price. I was okay with in-ground because I have space and don't need to move. I took my time and completed the installation over a 4-day period (maybe 7-8 hrs in total). On day 1, it took 3 hours to dig a hole and prepare it by adding forms and rebar. On day 2, the pole assembly took one hour. On day 3, it takes 3 hours to pour concrete and install a pole. Assembling the rim and hanging the backboard took one hour on day four. Here are some guidelines discovered along the way:Although a 2 foot deep by 2 foot diameter hole might not seem like much, digging one in the dense, sticky clay of Southeast Texas proved challenging. alternated between using a post hole digger and a shovel to remove clay from the digger. In order to increase stability, I finally belled the bottom sides of the pit with the shovel. using wire mesh that was compressed into a cylinder and secured with zip ties. To add stability, two pieces of 3 foot long rebar were placed in the center of the hole, sticking out vertically so that a pole could be put onto it later. In order to fit a 2 foot square 2x4 form, I squared off the top of my hole. I constructed a structure for the pole to clamp onto on the form during the pouring and curing of the concrete.The 4 inch tubular square pole is available in two substantial parts. Embrace the hype. These two parts could be meant to be together, but they don't want to be. The pieces needed to overlap by 4-5 inches, so it took about an hour to start them into each other by about a half-inch while balancing horizontally on saw horses, then drop them (cement end down) into a concrete block from a 3 ft step ladder. Once you get going and find your groove, they easily integrate. It merely required some trial and error to determine how to establish the link. Once put on, it cannot be taken off. very close! In order to improve the bond area when cementing into the ground, I additionally drilled two holes on the bottom end that would go into cement and attached two radially protruding 1/2 inch X 4 inch long anchor bolts. My hoop pole will probably be overkill, but I believe it will stop a train.Pour — Ok, so the important thing to remember is to have plenty of time (say, three continuous hours) since you want to fill the hole and roughly 3/4 of the pole in one pour (even if it means your daughter will be late to her soccer match — drat!). I needed a total of 12 X 80# bags of Quikcrete (hole pole). One bag at a time, mixed in wheel barrel, then directly poured. About halfway through the pour, I slid a pole atop my rebar pieces and into the hole, leveling it perfectly before attaching it to the 2x4 supports fastened to my forms. For a more durable system, throw out the plastic insert as others have advised. Furthermore, I find it impossible to envision moving this thing once it is buried. Make sure to tape the pole's seams and holes before continuing to pour concrete until the hole and roughly 3/4 of the pole are filled. You will leave the top two feet of the upper pole hollow so you can subsequently thread the backboard supports. Using a milk gallon jug that had been split in half as a scoop, concrete was added to the pole while standing on a ladder. Here, the instructions call for filling the pole with concrete before installation, but that wasn't done. That would have been excessively weighty.Backboard — Ah, that was really simple (ier). The backboard was put together exactly as instructed, and I was able to hold it up by myself while my 12-year-old daughter drilled the bolts. Due to our appreciation of the sound the metal net makes, we decided to replace the nylon one ($3).:)To keep it from getting boring, we made it a family installation adventure and spaced it out over a few days. Superb hoops! To get below the frost line, I had to dig a hole that was 18" broad and 36" deep, and it required 10 80lb bags of concrete to fill. Fortunately, I live close to a home improvement store! Read everything carefully and locate the hardware and tools needed before you begin each step.
