I generally take Zyrtec every day, but lately, my allergies have been bad enough that I have to stop taking my medication. My doctor advised me to try Claritin D, which completely cleared me up. I had such high expectations for the "D" that I believed Claritin alone might be effective. I've been taking it for two weeks and haven't experienced any allergic problems. I won't quit using this product until it stops working, so maybe it was just time for a switch.

For my child's severe motion sickness, I must rely on this. Most rides last 20 minutes before she throws up on her passengers. I only use it, though, on extended road trips of more than an hour. Unbelievably, her doctor advised her to take children's Benadryl to treat her motion sickness. She tolerates the taste without too much complaint, and if she's having a particularly difficult day, we'll combine it with some juice that has been thinned up.When she developed hives as a result of a laundry detergent reaction, it also worked brilliantly.

One of those items that ought to be included in every survival or first aid kit. This could save your life if you are in a remote area. In the event of a bee sting or other allergic reaction, it will buy time. In the event of a snake bite, it can also buy time and preserve lives and limbs. You can use the children's version with young children and increase the dose for adults as necessary. I mean, everyone needs a box of this.

Due to his eczema and itching, my 21-month-old kid has been taking this daily for months. Although they are generic, the modest bottles we started with from Walgreens still add up. The price is excellent for a bottle of this size. It's fantastic to just order it when I need it and keep a few extra on hand, considering how much we go through. My child sucks the grape flavor out of the syringe because she likes it. I will admit that I wished I had my own syringe with me.Instead of simply the measure cup, we have lots left over from our Tylenol days.

Due to his allergies, my nephew needs to take medication. He has to drink some kind of liquid, but he detests doing so because it tastes so bad. Making him take the pills is a hassle. You can't really convince me how it's for his good because he's only four years old, so. I reasoned that he could prefer these chewable tablets to the liquid. He still disapproves of them. He hasn't been fighting as much, it seems, despite the fact that the grape flavored is still unpleasant and doesn't completely mask the medicinal flavor. I'd say it was worthwhile since it made it a little bit simpler to get him to take the medication.

To begin with, they are really small—almost the size of a baby aspirin, only smaller. Tiny.If you need to crush them to add to liquid or food, they disintegrate easily.I bought these for my two-year-old since he has a cough that flares up in the wind or when we spend too much time outside, which I assume has a lot to do with allergies given that everyone in my house suffers from them. My son has terrible seasonal allergies that cause him to rub his eyes, sneeze, and cough. They also make his little nose water. Allegra makes allergy medication for 2-year-olds, but I'd rather not take the chance of giving it to my son because I'm concerned about the chemicals in it and what would happen if it gave him a stomach ache or made him feel strange like those medications do to me (since he can't tell me his stomach hurts or his head is feeling weird). This particular one is ideal because it is natural, simple to crush and add to milk, and just two a day keep him from sneezing, coughing, or having a runny nose even when we spend a lot of time outside. My son has been using this product for more than two weeks, and I haven't observed any negative side effects. The only thing I've seen is a contented 2-year-old creating a mess outside in the mud and dirt while not coughing or having a runny nose. When the bottle I have runs out, I'll get more, but since there are so many in one bottle, we are set for a while. Amazon, you're great! I've been using Hyland's goods since my kid was born and can only buy them here. I definitely recommend all of the Hyland's products, especially the cold remedies for babies and toddlers.

Claritin Children's 24 Hr Allergy Relief Bubble Gum Flavor 30 Chewable Tablets (1 Pack)

These are wonderful to have two allergic kids who use this medication. The kids were pleasantly surprised by the bubblegum flavor, which is a good change from the usual grape flavor. Each tablet is packaged individually and is simple to unwrap. The cost of this product is generally better than that of your neighborhood pharmacy or store. My only "concern" is that I wish there were more of it available because with two boys taking it everyday, we soon run out. We truly adore the flavor and have no concerns other than the fact that Claritin has prevented our home from being stuffy and congested during allergy season.
Yes, you can give your 2-year-old Benadryl for allergies. The recommended dosage is 1-2 milligrams per kilogram of body weight.
It's generally not a good idea to give Benadryl to children under the age of four, and it's always best to check with a pediatrician before giving any medication to a child. That said, Benadryl can be given to children aged two and up in order to relieve allergy symptoms like itchy eyes, a runny nose, and hives. The recommended dosage for children is 1-2 milligrams per kilogram of body weight, given every four to six hours as needed.
If your baby has a mild allergy, you may be able to give them allergy medicine. However, it is always best to speak to a doctor before giving your baby any medication.
It's generally not a good idea to give your child medication unless it's been recommended by a doctor. Benadryl is an antihistamine, which can be used to treat allergies. However, it's not recommended for children under the age of 2. If you're considering giving your child Benadryl, it's best to speak to a doctor first.
It is always best to speak to a doctor before giving any medication to a child, even something as seemingly innocuous as Zyrtec. The recommended dosage for a 6 month old is 2.5mg/day, so no more than 2.5mg should be given at any one time.
Zyrtec (cetirizine) is a 2nd-generation antihistamine that is typically well-tolerated and effective for most people. It is generally considered safe for children 2 years and older. Some possible side effects include drowsiness, dry mouth, and headache. Zyrtec is available over-the-counter and by prescription.
