For my 6-month-old, these "quick" nipples are gentle and provide a nice flow. Just as a point of comparison, I discovered that the flow of these was slower than the LifeFactory size 3.These nipples are not, however, used with Comotomo bottles. Mason jars go wonderful with them. My kid only drinks about 3 ounces at a time, therefore I use the 4 ounce mason jars (which carry 4 ounces up to the rim). I've included a picture as well to show how these nipples compare to ones from "Mason Bottle," which are also available on Amazon and come with a silicone sleeve and a cap. The Comotomo nipples are softer and longer than the ones from Mason bottles, therefore my baby prefers them. Additionally, don't leak and spit up less. The Mason Bottle nipples look nicer, however these nipples function excellent for domestic use.

We have chosen the #4 quick flow nipple with thickened formula. Our son struggles with acid reflux. He is a "happy spitter" who always spits regardless of what you do. Rice cereal was suggested by the pediatrician as a thickener. Even at level I of III, the adjustable flow nipples provided for Avent especially for thickened formula flowed WAY too quickly. We have discovered that our boy has done best in this size between 4-6 months. With the introduction of purees, he is adjusting to the adjustable nipple better. The size, suction, skill, interest, etc. of your child's mouth will actually determine this. I'm sorry to tell that you might have to cycle through all the sizes (as I did) as things change. It's been a good two months, #4.

Comotomo bottles are excellent in every way, but the nipple is my personal favorite feature. It's what really distinguishes this bottle from the competition. The silicone is both thick and supple. made very good. These nipples have a large mouth for sure. They never give way. The two vents do a fantastic job of stopping gas and spitting up. And cleaning these is a breeze. Additionally, these nipples never experience the persistent fog that seems to affect a lot of other nipples. No matter how thoroughly you clean them, the fog never goes away.My infant has a powerful urge to suckle. So, until she was about 6 months old, we utilized the 0-3 month nipple, which has one hole. Then we changed to the two-holed 3-6 month nipple. We continue to use the 3-6 month nipples even though she is now 9 months old. She probably won't ever need to use a nipple after the first three to six months. Currently, it takes her roughly 8 minutes to finish a 6 oz bottle.I can still use my 5 oz Comotomo bottles thanks to these replacement nipples. I don't know why, but I like the 5 oz bottles better than the 8 oz bottles. Don't get me wrong, I adore the 8oz bottles, but I much prefer the way the 5oz bottles look and feel. PS: If the 5 ounce bottles are filled completely, they may hold 6.5 ounces.
