Our 1997 M-B E320's 722.6 transmission received this kit after installation.The plastic and connectors that are provided seem to be at least as excellent as the Mercedes-Benz originals that are removed from the transmission. The connector is functional, but the little screw won't turn unless you tap it into position with a light hammer and a punch. Although not the dirtiest, this may have been the hardest part.The replacement gasket and filter are of good quality and fit well. There are no difficulties. The conductor plate itself has a similar aesthetic quality to the one that emerges. Its insertion into the top of the valve body is simple. Make sure it completely clips in or you won't be able to align the plug afterwards and will need to redo the procedure.For the multiplexer to complete the task, you will need a dedicated computer from an M-B dealer or Carsoft 7.4 on a laptop running Windows 7 or earlier with a genuine 9-pin serial connection. It won't automatically shake off limp mode. Amazon also sells the multiplexer and software that I purchased from Alibaba (for more money). You should also get a dipstick instrument so that you can add the proper volume of fluid. The fact that mine is currently a little full doesn't really matter, in my opinion. To bring it out of limp and restore the factory defaults, you will need to wipe the EGS and other modules, but it is well worth it. Even after 300k miles, the transmission shifts like new once again, and the throttle response has significantly improved thanks to reset adaptive settings.Without a doubt, I would purchase this package again. Huge sums of money are saved.

*** UPDATE *** 3/1/2016Since some folks had issues with the packing, I bought another one of these and snapped some images of it. My two instances have both been top-notch. In order to get the seal out where it would be visible for the shot, I had to cut open a small bit of the plastic, which had previously been extremely tight. It is a real part; you can see the ACDelco label on it in one of the photographs (occasionally you receive fakes or third-party parts). Ordering many products occasionally results in a little bowling ball- or missile-type object being thrown in the box, which can really mess things up. The box it came in was the right size and it was by itself.Original review is below.I'm not sure about the issues made by some other reviewers, but I received a genuine AC Delco part with GM instructions and the same same filter as the OEM filter I removed. The gasket appears to be of good quality; it was a little thinner than the factory cork gasket but looked like a rubberized fiber type material that seems really sturdy. The packaging was excellent; they shrink wrapped the filter and gasket flat against a large piece of cardboard, so it can't shift, fold, pinch, get damaged, etc. The pan is also performing its job because it doesn't leak. The filter is a great fit, and it includes a new seal (which I didn't use because my was sufficient and had only been in use for a year).Another piece of advice if you're purchasing this: Prime delivery is available on Amazon for roughly $45 for a case of 12 Havoline Dexron VI! What a great deal! At such prices, you cannot afford to not change your filter and fluid. Purchase 2 cases, flush the bad through the cooler lines (for me, this required 18 quarts), then lower the pan, swap the filter, and add more liquid. Although you wasted 4 to 5 gallons, this method is the cleanest.

Although the seal's ability to hold the bolts while you raise the pan is a great idea, it didn't hold them very firmly. Fit flawlessly. Other than that, everything is OK after the 10,000 miles since I changed the filter and gasket. No issues or leaks. Make sure the bolts are torqued properly. Your pan will deform and improperly seal if you overtighten.

shallow 16-hole pan for a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 4.3 V6.One task you detest completing is this one! It's a little sloppy and quite basic. Search for "4l60e transmission and filter change" on Google and browse YouTube for instructions. Here is my experience using shadetrees.1) Latex gloves, a large quantity of cardboard, shop towels, a garbage bag, and an oil catch pan.2) A block of wood, a socket set, a flathead, a pry bar, and a mallet or hammer. It's much simpler with ramps!3. I stripped my drain cap, which is a typical issue, so I did that. Drain after loosening bolts and removing bolts from one back corner. Remove all bolts, with the exception of the middle bolts on the back and the front passenger side. Leave both unfastened so that you may enter the oil pan from the front driver's side and siphon off the leftover oil using a 1/4" transparent tube. works best with WARM trojan. takes 4.5 quarts in a pan approximately one hour.4) Use paint thinner to clear out the pan. Use a razor to cut the gasket. Get gasket residue off pan with the use of a little brass brush.5) A couple of days before to installation, place the gasket under a heavy, flat object. gasket on a spotless rim. begin each of the 16 bolts and thread them at least 1/4 up. place the filter before the pan. Bolts can be manually tightened by using an extension. Go in a crisscross pattern with 1 hand and tighten, 1 HAND! A gasket will be damaged if you overtighten, which will result in leaks.6) Follow the maker's and model's manuals about fluid and capacity. After about 30 minutes of driving, stop, leave the car running, and check the fluid level. For a few days, check frequently on a level surface.Don't skimp on this one; my filter has 190k miles on it and will be the last one. ideal fit! I didn't change the filter seal because mine was still in excellent condition. I topped off my old truck's 5 qts of Valvoline Dex/Merc since, well, it lasted this long. Dex 6 is for years 7 and up. Amazon and Walmart both sell both.

NO GASKET IS PRESENT! It is a real Motorcraft item, thus I'm giving it five stars. Only 3 stars, though, for being classified as a "kit." As far as a gasket being included, the reviews were conflicting, so I took a chance. Still less expensive than the dealer's $60 asking price for just the filter.
