I'm using them on my 08' Duramax with aftermarket UCAs from the cognito brand. UPS quickly arrived. My 2004 F350 4x4 received two of these and two uppers. There are no issues because these are top quality Moogs. However, before you reattach the steering knuckle to the axle shaft, oil the lower ball joints, remove the zerq, and insert the plug. The u-joints are not cleared by the zerq. Additionally, make sure you put the rubber boots on according to the instructions on the boot; otherwise, they won't hold grease well. The zerqs were placed in the glove box after being placed in a Tylenol bottle. With each oil change, I lubricate the front end (5,000 miles for my diesel). For instance, turning the driver's side tire completely to the right will make it easier to reach the plug/zerq. It is best to put on and take off the plug with a small crescent wrench because it is an irregular size that is neither metric nor standard. The affordability is the best feature of these ball joints. Much less expensive than any of the three nearby car parts shops. I only saved $150 on ball joints.

My 2005 Silverado 2500HD's front end was replaced almost entirely. I changed the upper control arms, lower ball joints, tie rod ends, pitman arm, idler arm, idler arm bracket, and idler arm. Great pricing for a name brand ball joint purchased from an Amazon warehouse. The joints were completely new and came with all the necessary pieces, but the boxes did have a little ding. Although I have a car lift and numerous equipment, installing the coil spring on a 2004 Ford Ranger XL 2 wheel drive was rather simple. Avoid using the ball joint press at O'Reilly's because it was ineffective and left you using a 4 lb hammer, a corkscrew stand, and some of the orileys kit. To make installation considerably easier, freeze your ball joints before attempting it, and lubricate them before driving. Additionally, they did feature the yellow outside dots for installation direction.

Perfect fit for my 2001 Chevy Sliverado 2500HD duramax 4x4; I was able to remove the old one and install it myself with the help of a ball joint tool I rented from Pep Boys; I also watched a few YouTube videos; and The installation was simpler than I anticipated; I only needed to remove the tire and tie rod. I put the ball joint in the freezer for about 3 hours prior to installation, being sure to attach it with the small hole on top facing the outside. The upper drivers side was changed.

These are a real hassle to get rid of, as others have mentioned. The phrase "popping them out" is a myth. If you don't already own a ball joint press, rent one from The Zone or another preferred auto parts retailer. Prior to utilizing the ball joint press to remove the ball joint, chisel the retaining ring. They will eventually be let free, but it will be a very gradual and painful process.The lower control arm's lower ball joints are splined to guarantee a good bite. Make sure the boot oil weep hole is facing the engine while fitting. This stops oil from coming into touch with your brake rotors and killing you instantly. Make sure the boots are not harmed during installation. Note that, in contrast to other reviewers, the boots were firmly fastened to the ball joints.Finally, I saw some internet videos and comments that suggested grinding the four huge rivets from the lower control arm. STOP! I don't understand why someone would do that when the old/new ones can be squeezed out/in. I don't know where that false information came from, but ignore it altogether!Do it once, with Moog! For Chevy Avalanche models with steel lower control arms, use these ball joints. The right ball joint assembly requires a different part number if your control arms are aluminum. This was a surprise to me till installation. However, I will provide feedback on the quality. They appear to be great, thick rubber boots and joints of high quality. Fast shipping and well-packaged. Depending on your vehicle, there are two basic types of ball joints.The fit was excellent and the ball joints pressed in effortlessly. It took work to get them out.I contacted Main Auto, a nearby parts business, and spoke with an older man who looked knowledgeable. I questioned him over the brand-new integrated rubber boot and to see whether he had any returns. If you look closely, you can see that Moog changed the outer rubber boot, replacing it with an interior boot and getting rid of the bulky exterior boot. This design, he claimed, is superior. We'll see.
