No, wheel bearings are not easy to replace. They are usually pressed into the hub, so you will need a press to remove them. You will also need to know the correct size and type of bearing to replace it with.
If you have some experience with car repairs, you may be able to replace a wheel bearing yourself. However, it is a difficult and time-consuming task, so it is best to leave it to a professional mechanic.
If a hub assembly needs a new bearing, the entire assembly must be replaced. Bearings are not serviceable and cannot be changed.
A hub assembly is a vital part of a vehicle's steering and suspension system. It helps to keep the wheels in proper alignment and provides a smooth ride. Over time, however, the components of a hub assembly can become worn or damaged, causing the assembly to malfunction. When this happens, it is often necessary to rebuild the entire assembly. While rebuilding a hub assembly can be a challenging task, it is often possible to do so with the help of a professional mechanic. In some cases, however, it may be necessary to replace the entire assembly.

So far, they are good. I probably shouldn't have stated that, but I've been on the vehicle for more than a month and haven't had any issues with them. The wailing has stopped. almost a thousand kilometers in them Auto component retailers charge far too much for what they offer. It's a hub assembly, not a rocket engine gimbal. The prices that stores charge are excessive. The only option is Amazon; otherwise, I would have had to pay three times as much or more, wait a few days for them to arrive, and travel around to pick them up. Saving time and money is certainly worth the risk. Each one only takes a little under an hour to change, and the majority of that time was spent gathering the necessary materials. On a 2011 GMC Sierra 4X4, replacing the parts is not at all challenging. Very content thus far.

I could hear roaring coming from the front of my car, and the steering wheel was lightly vibrating. I came to the conclusion after some research that the symptoms were brought on by a deteriorating wheel bearing. First, I looked on the GMParts website, where a hub/bearing assembly cost $204! On Amazon, I discovered the MostPlus hub/bearing assembly, and I was astonished by the inexpensive cost and the inclusion of two hub/bearing assemblies! The installation process was really simple. If I had thoroughly examined the new item before removing the old one, I could have saved some time. I tried to "keep" a few of the clips that held the wire harness to the car in order to attach the new wiring harness. I was pleasantly happy to find that the new wiring harness had all of the clips in the proper places for the attachment points on the car when I eventually unpacked the MostPlus hub/bearing assembly. I test-drove the car after repairing the suspected faulty hub/bearing assembly on the passenger side, and the issue was fixed. There was no roaring noise or shaking of the steering wheel. I'm happy with the product's initial quality and beauty, but I do have some concerns about its overall durability.

Detroit Axle has earned 5 STARS from me. However, Amazon received the exact opposite rating! The wrong damn wheel hub assembly was delivered to me. The Amazon app informed me at least three times, if not more, that YES, these parts will unquestionably fit my car when I ordered them. With a young child and no way to get anywhere, I'm currently sitting in the middle of nowhere. And yet, Amazon expects me to return the incorrect parts to the seller in order to receive the correct ones in the first place! The best part is that they didn't even appear to want to give in or back down in the end—not for shipping or anything else! I now have to reconsider all of the business I do with Amazon.

For the 2003 Tahoe 4WD, perfect fit. identical producer as the original. With other brands, I won't even bother. This bearing was produced in the USA and is from the reputable brand Timken. To help with the three bolts holding the hub in (tightened to 133 lb. ft.), I advise purchasing a 6 point 15mm wrench. They can be a little difficult to loosen, and using a 12 point wrench even somewhat carelessly could result in rounding the head.Driving it out of the knuckle was a pain. It was cemented in place by corrosion and 13 years' worth of grime. None of the hub removal tools appeared to be functional in this situation. I finally hammered it out. I might attempt to push the axle a little further out the next time and see if I can insert a brass punch to help force it out from the back. I can tell you that in my instance, the upper part was quite clean, but the bottom half of the hub was mostly stuck. The 36mm nut that secures the axle in place is not meant to be reused. Although it was reasonably priced from a local dealer, it appears that blue thread locker might be used (but don't take my word for it). nuts to 177 lb-ft of torque

I'm delighted Amazon helped us find these. Because we had Prime, the shipping was free, and the pricing was less than other websites. The item was wrapped quite neatly and arrived very quickly. The manufacturer's part number WHB02-513121 for the Motorman 513121 wheel hub assembly was exactly what was ordered. At roughly half the price, these seem to be at least as good as OEM quality. The only problem I see is that you have to pick your vehicle carefully, or else they won't be the appropriate ones. Finding the list in the advertisement is a little tricky. It just so happened that my 2005 Rendezvous was listed! My mechanic informed me that in order to stop the horrifying noise that was driving me insane and save my brake pads, I needed to replace my old hubs and bearings. They would have cost more than twice as much if he had bought them. He assured us that they were of high quality and easy to install. These bolts have a coating to assist prevent rust; my old ones had to be heated to be removed since they were rusted or corroded. A nightmare indeed! I'm hoping that won't be the case with these. So far, I couldn't be happier with this purchase! I'll update the review if I run into any issues.

Even though the process wasn't as simple as I had anticipated, after 10 hours of dreadful effort, I was able to install them. They appear to be high-quality parts, and given that we only wear the blazer sometimes, they ought to work just fine. One thing I'd suggest is using your phone to take pictures as you go. I had to learn the hard way when I installed the dust shield incorrectly and had to start over; this will verify that the parts are going on as they should.I am a male 71 years old. So, it's not as simple as it was when I was younger, and I'm rather sore right now.Breaker bars, 1/2-inch ratchet wrenches, liquid wrenches, and pre-soaks are the tools you'll need. To access the nuts, pull the automobile up on both sides using a jack and jack stands. I had an impact wrench, but it wasn't powerful enough to loosen the bolts. A decent hammer, too. I practically had to bash the hub off my passenger side with a 3-pound hammer because it was so terrible. A short extension bar, some muscle, a 13 mm socket, an 18 mm socket, and a 19 mm socket are all required.Additionally, I would suggest a few tie straps. The Trailblazer no longer makes a gravel-grinding noise.

Clean, good-looking part that was timely delivered and packaged nicely. The part was a perfect fit on my 2001 Impala and eliminated the front end noise. There are no lights or odd behavior when the speed sensors communicate with the computer. How long they endure will depend on time. My original bearings were replaced with Detroit Axle knockoffs 42000 miles ago, and they have likely been making noise for the past 15000 miles or so (getting worse with time). Regret that they didn't last longer. This time around, I definitely should have chosen ACDelco bearings, but the cost is three times higher and the reviews aren't any better.I advise trying these if you're thrifty like me and don't mind putting in a little work.

They were installed on my son's car by him and a buddy, and so far they are performing admirably. It's been about two weeks so far. I've ordered numerous Detroit Axel wheel bearings in the past for various vehicles, and they've all been great except for one set. To be honest, I was too lazy to remove them and send them back; however, that set has been on that car for a year and makes some noise but is still tight and functioning well. I mean honestly, you're going to get that every now and then with whatever you order. Nevertheless, I never hesitate to buy this brand
No, you don't need an alignment after replacing your steering knuckle. However, it's a good idea to get an alignment after any major suspension work to ensure that your vehicle is tracking straight and true.
If you are hearing a grinding noise coming from your car, it is likely that your hub assembly or bearing needs to be replaced. A hub assembly is located in the center of your car's wheel and helps to keep the wheel attached to the car. The bearing is what allows the hub assembly to rotate. If either of these parts is damaged, it can cause your car to make a grinding noise.
If you've replaced your hub assembly, it's generally a good idea to get an alignment. This will help ensure that your vehicle is running as efficiently as possible and can help extend the life of your tires.
Wheel bearings are an important part of your car's suspension, and they need to be pressed in order to function properly. If you are having problems with your car's suspension, it is likely that the wheel bearings are the cause. You can take your car to a mechanic to have the bearings pressed, or you can do it yourself if you have the right tools.
If you notice that your vehicle is vibrating when you are driving, it could be a sign that your hub assembly is bad. You may also hear a noise coming from the area of the wheel. If you see that the area around the hub is damaged, this is another indication that the assembly is bad and needs to be replaced.
Assuming you have the correct tools for the job: 1. Jack up the car and remove the wheel. 2. Use a wrench to remove the hub cap, if there is one. 3. Use a wrench to loosen the lug nuts and remove the wheel. 4. Use a wrench to remove the brake caliper bolts and remove the caliper. Hang the caliper from the suspension so that the brake line is not strained. 5. Use a wrench to remove the bolts holding the rotor in place and remove the rotor. 6. Use a wrench
