I put this in my brand-new 2015 Subaru Legacy for add-on items. I put in this fuse block because I hate having a lot of wires dangling off the battery post and I was installing a trailer wiring harness that needed a direct battery connection. I've only utilized one of the six available circuits thus far, but as I add a radar detector and perhaps a few cameras to my car, I'm sure that will change.The red lights that come on when a fuse blows are a nice concept. The lights stay off when everything is in order, despite the description not clearly stating this. The circuit's light remains dark if there is no fuse plugged in and no wire plugged into a tab, indicating that the circuit is not in use. This is advantageous because leaving the light on all the time would produce a modest but continual drain on the battery.Nicely designed and allowing for a tidy installation, the plastic cover. Not waterproof, but water resistant is how I'd describe it. Additionally, in the past I've built fuseblocks that include a rubber boot to protect the power input stud. Since it didn't come with a boot, I just covered the exposed connection with a brief piece of heat shrink tubing. It would seem simple to unintentionally touch it with a wrench or anything. Sparks have never really appealed to me!One installation suggestion This is attached to the side of the box that houses my OEM fuse box using glue. The ABS cement available at hardware stores is ideal for this job. Instead of PVC cement, pay close attention to ABS cement. various compounds. This choice makes the installation essentially permanent, however I'd prefer to leave behind this affordable box when I sell this car as opposed to leaving empty holes from mounting and then removing this box.

The product was incredibly simple to set up and operate. While tightening them, I felt confident that none of the terminals would strip because they all seemed secure and solidly mounted. The fuse was securely fastened by all tight fuse connections. I wish they had supplied blank stickers so you could write your own labels on them because the included sticker sheet is a good touch and has most of the fuse labels needed for a typical project. The best wire to use for this rating, which is 100A maximum for the board but 30A on each terminal, is 8AWG. Anything less puts you at risk of malfunctions and meltdowns.

This is an improvement over another fuse block that was included with the Speedway rewiring kit but that I had disliked. I like how this one is more organized, elegant, and has LED lights that let me know whether a circuit is live or not. My car is a vintage '73 Triumph Spitfire, so even a supposedly simple change out involved testing and retesting circuits.The fuses did not seem tight when I turned them on. The clamps quit grasping the fuse blades as I switched out several blown fuses. I can't image going down a bumpy road and everything not cutting out; the LED light would blink even while I was still in the car, suggesting that the connection of the blade was not strong.How to repair Six screws on the back make it simple to access the clips. I inserted a tiny needle-nose plier and slightly compressed each clap. All of the fuses were securely in place when I put everything back together.I'm not sure whether a more pricey block is better; until you truly upgrade to a much higher price range, I doubt it. I like that both the material and the design are sturdy. After crimping the clamps, I am convinced that it will perform the job.

This was my buy for a solar generator I made. This is the great, less priced replacement for the Blue Seas version if you were looking for one. Simply mark the side of the contractor's box, drill two tiny mounting holes, and screw it in place—how that's easy it is to install. I'm only utilizing 8 of the potential 10 connections right now, and everything is working perfectly. This was developed for boon docking, tent camping, and general grid power outages. It lacks ATC/ATO fuses, but those can be purchased cheaply on Amazon or at any convenience shop or petrol station. I won't need to use the 100 amps that the fuse block is rated for. Although it is not waterproof, I didn't really care about that because of where it was being installed. I did construct the first solar generator. I maybe went a little overboard with my design, but I'm so glad I chose the fuse block option. I have a few images of this project included.

My brand-new 4x4 required some more lighting, a fan, and new circuitry. For six circuits, the new fuse box is rather small. Finding a suitable location for it under the hood was simple. This little fuse box allowed me to draw electricity straight from the battery without having to change the original wiring. The incoming terminals are large enough to tap for a particularly huge load if necessary, and there is space for six fused circuits. Now, all new wire may be run from this fuse box while remaining completely independent of the previous wiring. Everything will be lot easier to debug as a result. The original wiring is still in its entirety. Six circuits was more than enough, and there were a few extras in case more needed to be added. To mark off circuits, a sizable sheet of included tags can be adhered to the transparent cover. Two of my circuits unfortunately didn't line up properly with any of the labels despite their being so many labels. Not a big deal, that. These labels are small enough that I can print personalized labels using the margin space that is typically wasted on a sticker sheet. With power for switches coming from the accessory post on the OEM terminal block, I used relays to run all the new circuits. In this method, when the ignition key is turned off, all circuits still cut off. A huge cable that actually required to arrive from a direction where the clear cover did not already have an entrance presented a minor issue. With that cord in the way, the cover could not be attached. To allow room for that cable, it was easy to slice a wider space into the clear plastic cover's edge.

This is where my F-150's dash-mounted amplifier radio feeds from the battery. I fed it with 8 gauge copper and connected the gadgets coming from it with 10 gauge. I also utilize it for various purposes, such as an LED light strip that illuminates the area beneath the cover of my truck bed. Normally, it is impossible to see under the cover from the tailgate in low light, but with the 12 inch light bar, it is as if it were daytime there. I recently purchased a case that contains several different fuse values, allowing me to choose the appropriate fuse for each device I wire to it. Additionally, the fuse block features a row of red LEDS, one for each fuse. If a fuse blows, the LED identifies which fuse it was by flashing red. I looked at many different fuse blocks, and while they are available on numerous websites, this one came fast and is really nicely made. Once you wire stuff to it, a lovely cover fits over it. The installation is really tidy because I utilize ring lugs on each wire. I was able to conceal 98% of all the wire, which is why I enjoy having an F-150.

I assisted my friend in installing the same one on his Tacoma. So I made the decision to purchase the same one to put in my 4Runner. I'll hook it up as soon as the rest of my led lights arrive.Installing it on your existing fuse box under the hood is rather easy to connect. After that, connect the positive to the battery and the negative to a ground. Then connect the new fuse box to all of your existing auxiliaries. Instead of routing all of your wires to the battery's positive terminal, this looks much cleaner.I'll post an update as soon as my lights arrive.

I have zero knowledge of automobiles; I don't work on them, I don't fix them, and I can't even change my own oil. But I got this replacement after seeing that the fuse box atop the battery in my 1999 VW Jetta was burnt.A 10mm socket wrench was all that was required to replace the old one almost exactly! I did, however, experience three minor problems:1) This box is slightly different in shape from the one I originally had in my car, so it doesn't snap into the bottom base (rather, it just sits on top of the battery, sort of loose); 2) I needed to change the first fuse because the original one was 150 and the replacement was 110 (all the others were correct); and 3) It requires some finagling to get the wired bolts screwed into the new plastic slots.This box is flawless besides those three little issues! Even for someone like me who has no prior mechanical skill, it is really simple to install, it repaired my car's issue, and it arrived very promptly!
