Yes, vinyl tubing can be used for fuel line, but it is not recommended by most manufacturers. Vinyl tubing is not as durable as other materials, and it can degrade over time when exposed to fuel.
Fuel lines are typically made from metal, but rubber lines can be used in some cases. Rubber lines are less durable than metal lines and are more likely to leak, but they are often less expensive.
Nylon fuel lines are not recommended as a replacement for steel fuel lines. While nylon is less likely to corrode than steel, it is not as strong or durable. Nylon is also not compatible with some fuel additives, which can cause it to degrade.
Yes, you can use braided hose for fuel line, but it is not recommended because it is not as durable as other types of hose. Braided hose is more likely to leak and is not as resistant to fuel additives.

I never imagined that having my sewer cap come off as I was driving down the highway, bouncing around for at least an hour, and melting the tabs would be beneficial, but it was! I quickly purchased this, expecting it would be a regular size. I removed the previous one, screwed on the new one with just a quarter-turn, wrapped the clear loop around the tab to secure it, and presto! I was through. Given that it includes a line/holder along the middle, this is much simpler to put on and take off than my previous one. It's lot simpler to grip the middle portion and turn than the entire thing, and it tightens onto the existing tabs much better than my old one did. Previously, I would have had to grab the entire thing and turn like a huge pickle gar lid. The easiest and fastest replacement I've ever had for my camper!

My 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan's replacement OEM fitting came out wonderful thanks to this. I wish I had been aware of this adaptor sooner. I overpaid the neighbourhood mechanic to attach a hose clamp to the stock one, and it only lasted a few years. When a splice was added and this was added, the connection significantly improved. I simply sprayed some WD-40 on the barbs and struggled to slide on the hose. No need for heat.

Other than that, if you're using these fittings, you should know how to install them. Russell is a big, well-known name in AN fittings, and their products work well. Fits very tightly, so use a lube (di electric grease works great) as the directions say, use to prevent tearing a "O" ring, and be sure it CLICKS in place.

ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY- push lock fitting can be reused and recycle if you do not want them to stay in the original place. Due to the high-quality material which makes push lock fitting worked last for long.
Designed For Smooth Flow, the hose end fittings are made of high-quality aluminum alloy material for strong strength. Polished and anodized surface provide the bright appearance and corrosion protection.
Multi Sizes Supplied:Available in 3 sizes and four angles:6AN,8AN,10AN/straight, 45 degree, 90 degree, 180 degree.(PUSH LOCK FITTING NO INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS,detailed Installation steps look described in detail.)
APPLICATION- EVIL ENERGY push lock fitting is widely used in Oil/ Water/ Fluid/ Airline etc. Connect engine with air filter, the engine with radiator system, automobile air conditioning system, oil cooler etc.Our Push Lock fitting is only work with Rubber Push-Lock oil hose. They are not compatible with PTFE Hose, Nylon Braided Hose, or Stainless Steel Braided Hose.
Weld-free construction that gives better fluid flow and integrity over the normal brazed together hose ends. Push Lock fittings are easy to use and don't require special equipment. We normally recommend a bit of assembly lube to make it easier.

I was unable to capture a good image to demonstrate, but the material shrank and deformed (perhaps developing microfractures) at the outside of the 90-degree curve. A high-quality item like Earl's fittings won't have that. However, the identical fitting costs nearly three times as much in Earl's.There is no pressure on this because I'm merely using it to vaporize things. I wouldn't put any pressure on these fittings. However, given the cost, I would repurchase for use in vapor applications such crankcase ventilation.

These fuel line clips function as intended. More trimming and cleaning were required than excellent quality assurance would have allowed; it appears that the moulds are past their prime. I had to buy locally, but this "add-on" order—you know, the one that said, "We'll send it for free in with your qualifying Prime order,"—arrived two days after the $200 Prime gasoline pump. Returning something would cost more than the original cost. Don't fall for the "add-on" scphiel's trick as I did.

Because I continued to experience the same drip/spray leak even after replacing the pressure line in my 2001 Suburban, I almost gave this a far worse rating. The gasoline pump was found to be the issue. Over the years, the o-rings in the original connector had apparently worn out the outlet, but the damage was barely noticeable. The leak was resolved after the fuel pump was replaced. I can't be sure since I had to destroy the original fitting, but I think the fuel pump replacement would have stopped the leak right away. I will remark that this removal method is far better than what GM employed in 2001.

Works Perfectly! To get it on the fittings, he heated it with a hair dryer. I only managed to get it on about 3/8", but it can withstand over 60 psi without leaking and without clamps. Daily driving has continued for almost two months and is still going strong. If replacing a rusted steel line, it is thin enough to fit the OEM brackets and flexible enough to route it so that it looks factory-made. You won't need to be concerned about rusting again.

Without a firm grip, it's rather difficult to get the gasoline line fully seated over the fittings. It was challenging to do while on the truck, but I was able to get it mostly on and clamp. My fuel pressure sensor on my 2007 Cummins performed flawlessly.
Yes, you can use brass fittings for fuel lines. There are a few things to keep in mind, however. First, brass is a softer metal than steel, so it is more susceptible to damage. Second, brass is not as corrosion-resistant as steel, so it is more likely to degrade over time. Third, brass is a more expensive material than steel, so it is important to weigh the costs and benefits before deciding to use brass fittings for fuel lines.
Yes, you can use push lock fittings for fuel. Push lock fittings are commonly used in automotive and plumbing applications, and they are also suitable for use with fuel lines. Push lock fittings create a secure, leak-proof connection between two pieces of tubing or hose, and they are easy to install and remove.
A radiator hose is not meant to be used for a fuel filler neck. A fuel filler neck is made to hold gasoline and it is a much different material than a radiator hose. A radiator hose is made to hold coolant and can not hold the weight or amount of gasoline that a fuel filler neck can.
Push-lock fittings do not require a special hose; however, the hose must be compatible with the fitting. Push-lock fittings are designed to create a seal on the hose without the need for clamps or other fasteners. The fitting is simply pushed onto the hose until it clicks into place. This type of fitting is often used in applications where a leak-free seal is critical, such as in automotive and plumbing applications.
Yes, gasoline dissolves brass. This is because brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, and gasoline is a solvent that can dissolve both of these metals.
3/8 fuel line is 3/8" ID.
