These are stainless steel, but I have no idea where they were created. Its briefness has been mentioned by others, which is somewhat accurate. Both have the same thread length. The installation method used by the factory is a hex head, however this kit uses an allen hex head. This really makes installing the exhaust manifold a little bit simpler. It fits snugly. I've had these for about a month now and have experienced no problems.

Excellent and creative stuff! The last thing I wanted to do was remove my exhaust manifolds and attempt to pry the broken bolt out on my own. I also didn't want to pay someone $1200 or so to do it for me at a shop. Therefore, I chose this. The only noticeable difference between the two companies is at the end of the "pinch" bolt. I had first seen this kind of product from KralAuto, but Dorman was a little less expensive. To increase surface pressure, the Kral's "pinch" bolt has a nut welded onto the end, whereas the Dorman's bolt is just straight up and without a nut. Regardless, it took me about a half-hour to install it while using flashlights at night (I couldn't wait until the next day!) Some engines may require trimming the heat shield, but mine was so rusted that I had to practically tear off the small portion that was blocking the installation with my hand. The other thing I'll recommend is to be EXTREMELY EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS with your DIPSTICK TUBE! To slightly manipulate the dipstick tube and get the bracket bolt in, you must first unbolt the bracket holding the dipstick tube. The tube will most likely have a considerable amount of rust/rot where the tube meets the manifolds, just like mine does. When handling the tube, be careful! Having said that, it was installed, and there is no longer a ticking sound! fantastic stuff I'll update everyone if anything changes in the near future.

It worked on a 2001 Dodge Dakota 4.7L, however you should be aware that this kit does not include washers. The proper kit, which is much more expensive and only includes 4 bolts per kit, contains the thick black washers. For about $13, I purchased a used "like new" kit that included all 8 bolts in addition to my own washers. To purchase 8 bolts at the nearby parts store would have cost me about $80 for the other 2 kits. (About $60 on Amazon)Note: It is impossible to remove the washers from the original bolts since they are so small. They cannot get beyond the threads. On the passenger side closest to the O2 sensor, 2 of my bolts were damaged. After changing the gasket, everything is now OK. Additionally, to simplify things, punch the retention plugs in the center of the wheel well shroud. Otherwise, they are difficult to remove. I should probably buy some spares because I had trouble getting all of them to fit tightly during the reinstallation. Finally, use PW blaster to dislodge any rusty bolts before attempting to unscrew anything. Mine was quite badly rusty and I'm in California. Good fortune

Despite the fact that the pipe in a 1996 Jeep Cherokee came within 1/8" of the motor mount, the manifold and its gasket were of great quality and fit nicely. I can hear rattling in the exhaust system, but I haven't been able to pinpoint where. It's probably further down the pipe because it would have moved to accommodate the new manifold. ECCPP offered a partial return so that I could get a replacement gasket locally because the round gasket that connects the manifold pipe to the rest of the exhaust did not match the new manifold. In my opinion, they provided a good service. When I first contacted ECCPP after waiting longer than expected for the merchandise, they said the package had been labeled for shipment but that someone had forgotten to send it. The reason for the higher star rating is that I think ECCPP tried their best to fix both problems, and I think the manifold was well-made and simple to install without any mounting troubles. It undoubtedly made the Jeep quieter and restored the pleasantness of inside dialogue. Despite the aforementioned problems, I would still suggest this vendor.

The manifold appears to be quite solidly built. The casting is obviously not quite up to FoMo norms, but it is also not even close to the price. The manifold was placed on a 2006 Ford F-150 5.4L. What a major hassle. There it has been for more than a month. I'll listen for any symptoms of deterioration and keep an eye out for them, then I'll report back. Some people have reported that their manifold fractured after a short while, however it's probable that an installation problem is to blame.Several removal/installation pointers:Don't bother relocating your exhaust back, as some YouTube videos suggest, since this is the passenger side of a 2006 Ford F-150. If you take out your starter, it will be much simpler. You'll have space to slip the new manifold up from the bottom if you do that. Once all of the studs have been removed or broken, use a sawzall or something similar to cut the old manifold in half and remove it in two pieces. Don't fuss with it.Purchase the titan stud extractor from Amazon to get the studs out. It performed admirably for me. I was quite fortunate to avoid any skull fractures. PB blaster was liberally applied to the studs the night before I started the project and at various points throughout. Don't go overboard with the propane torch heat; a little will do. When the studs were taken out, I could see how the blaster had heated the threads in order to enter them.You should also purchase a variety of swivel attachments, extensions, and other accessories for your sockets by shopping on Amazon or at your preferred low-cost Chinese tool store. They'll be necessary. Nothing is worse than not having the proper equipment for the job available.It's a good idea to use a die grinder and a bristles sand paper wheel to clean the exhaust ports' surface since corrosion is caused by exhaust leaks. A metal wheel shouldn't be used since it can remove too much material too quickly. When the ports are clean, you can use a straight edge to check for flatness across the ports. Not me.

Well-packaged, includes flange gasket, exhaust flange bolts, heat shield screw, and manifold to cylinder head. After installation, I checked to make sure everything was in order, started the engine for about a minute, and then turned it off because I had read in several reviews that the replacement manifolds shattered after only a short period. About 30 minutes later, it was chilly to the touch. I repeated this several times, getting longer each time, and after that I drove it around the neighborhood slowly before returning and letting it cool. The vehicle was then prepared for my wife to drive, er, race. worked perfectly. There hasn't been a problem yet after a few months. The output flange crush gasket was damaged, which was the only issue I had. The crush gasket appeared to have been dented by the manifold's weight and the box appeared to have been dropped during transit. Fortunately, I discovered it before I was prepared to install, and I had one waiting for me. Although I'm sure they would have replaced it, I figured it would be simpler to reorder for the few extra dollars than to submit a warranty issue. Even yet, the local parts stores are much more affordable. Check all the contents before installing so that you may either request a replacement or purchase one.
