A clutch kit typically contains a pressure plate, clutch disc, throw-out bearing, and pilot bushing. Some kits also come with a flywheel. In most cases, the pressure plate and clutch disc are replaced together as they wear at the same rate.
If you're replacing your clutch, you might need a new flywheel as well. A flywheel is a heavy metal disc that's attached to the engine's crankshaft. It helps keep the engine's speed constant while the transmission is disengaged. Over time, the flywheel can become worn down, which can cause problems with your clutch. If your mechanic thinks the flywheel is worn, they'll probably recommend replacing it.
If your clutch is slipping, chattering or vibrating, it may be time to replace your pressure plate. A new pressure plate will ensure proper clutch operation and can restore lost performance.

Fan nut wrenches included: 22mm, 36mm, 40mm, 50mm, & diesel

I needed the correct tools for the 36mm nut holding the motorized clutch fan on the water pump shaft after having some issues working on a 2006 Hummer H3. Initially, I had leased a toolkit from an auto supply shop nearby, but they were so worn out that I would have ended up stripping anything. So, after spending a lot of time looking for a good toolkit on Amazon, I discovered this one with Prime shipping. The tool industry holds Gearwrench to a high standard, and this kit is of extremely good quality.Every metric size required for a contemporary car is provided, indicated in the blow-molded container. The tools fit tightly so that they don't clatter around and snap into place neatly and precisely where they belong. The pulley holder is quite easy to use; all you have to do is attach the hooks to the bolt heads and loosen the nut with the appropriate size tool. In order to attach a torque wrench and measure the final torque specification, the wrenches also contain a half-inch drive hole on the back of them. All of the equipment is substantial, well-built, and finely machined. Even in the packaging, there were little oil specks placed where the tools touched to prevent rusting. These are one of those tool sets that will probably last a lifetime, and overall I'm really happy with my purchase.

Chrome-Moly finish
Standard Clutch SAE sizes: 3/32", 5/32", 3/16", 1/4"
Bits are universal 1/4" hex to fit power drivers
4 - 3" Bits and interlocking Bitpacs in the set
$234
I had never heard of clutch bits before I needed to work on an RV and discovered this set and others. Since price was a concern, I read reviews and decided to give this set a try. This set works great; I used a 16-ounce ball hammer to force the bit into the old, rusted bolt head and a wrench to break the bolt free. After eight bolts, the bit is still in great condition. The toolbox will now include this set.

It was the precise item I needed, and it performed flawlessly. I chose the Aisin brand since it was the original equipment manufacturer (OE) for my 1996 Toyota Tacoma 4x4; the original clutch lasted 200,158 miles and more than 19 years. This clutch kit may be the first and last one I ever replace on this truck, and so far it has performed flawlessly.

For my Maverick Turbo, OEM new Bearings and Retaining Ring cost about $90 , not to mention the protracted shipping time from Canada if the part is back ordered.OEM RETAININGRING PN: 420245951 OEM BALLBEARING PN: 420632377The bearings fit like OEM after two of these kits have been installed. My only issue is that, when I looked up the part number shown on the genuine All Balls bearing, the bearing's RPM rating did not match the OEM requirement. My hypothesis is that the bearing would not live as long as OEM due to heat and could lead to the primary clutch seizing on the shaft because the engine rpm speed is higher than the bearing rpm rating.I'm not sure whether this is the reason my clutch needs to be removed using the hydro approach. Just a heads-up: be mindful of yield bolts and torque specifications.Reference for Parts Canada is 1132-1006.

This component fit perfectly. It performed as I had anticipated, as recounted by many owners of the vehicles listed in the vehicle list and demonstrated by mechanics in various web videos.I advise seeing several videos in addition to the one in the description. If you view on YouTube, a number of additional videos that provide more context for the process will be displayed. Not every application is applicable to a particular video. No video that I've seen depicts the entire procedure, including the measurements that must be taken before modifying the parts, part disassembly, part modification, part installation, and installation of this product or an equivalent. For a particular circumstance, this item is a specific repair. It involves more than just a thorough knowledge of the tools needed and how to use them without harming the components. For this item to be installed effectively, parts must be removed and pieces must be adjusted. Find a mechanic who is certified to perform this installation if you are unsure about the steps or the process.

To remove and install the clutch on my own was a pain in the you know what. BUT it was finished, and the new clutch is excellent. I'm glad I completed the study and discovered that LUK clutches match OEM clutches. Because of a redesign of the flywheel, you must install the entire clutch assembly rather than just the friction disc and pressure plate.

came without damage or surprises. To be clear, you don't need the alignment tool that can be seen in some of the photographs; it is not included. When you receive the assembly, the friction plate is centered, and it cannot be moved unless the bolts securing the pressure plate to the flywheel are loosened. The dual-mass flywheel, clutch friction disc, and pressure plate (bolted together as a single unit), a release bearing, and a small quantity of spline grease are all included in this kit. In agreement with what some others have said, your 12mm triple square bit does need to be the long variety in order to install the component in its entirety as intended. I purchased the Neiko 10054A set, which has 10 pieces and is 4-Inch Extra Long XZN Triple Square Spline Bit Socket Set, S2 Steel. You only need one extra long 12mm size for this task, thus you could get just one.It was recently installed, and thus far I'm happy with it. As others have remarked, the pressure plate springs are a little bit lighter than the OE Sachs unit, resulting in a relatively light pedal feel. It seems to offer at least the same amount of clamping force as the original, which I appreciate.I bought another release bearing—on the advice of some reviewers—and installed it, but to my mind, the OEM bearing I bought (from FCP Euro) and this one were similar. Before selecting this component, I performed a ton of research and was initially dubious due to how much less expensive this unit is than the Sachs equivalent and other options. But up to this point, I am certain that this was the best decision and wholeheartedly endorse it.

For servicing AC clutch while AC compressor is still in the vehicle
Meets or exceeds ANSI standards. Lifetime warranty.
Works with both domestic and import AC systems
Adjustable brass thumbscrews

I gave the product a five-star rating based on the general concept of what it could be used for, however I had some difficulty utilizing it because the adjustable pins wouldn't line up the way I was using them. It would function best if the entire A/C compressor were removed from the vehicle, and there were no obstructions (such as the inside front fender wall) that would prevent you from using it to its maximum potential. Nevertheless, this is a terrific tool.

To begin with Value of a Special EditionAs soon as I opened the box for this clutch kit, I was astounded by the level of detail and composition. When I offered the mechanic these components, he immediately recognized them as a suitable clutch kit to install on my car.I continue to drive with the equipment I purchased today. Highly advised.
A flywheel is a rotating mechanical device that is used to store energy. Flywheels have an inertia that allows them to keep spinning even when there is no power source. A clutch is a device that is used to connect two rotating shafts together or to disconnect them. A worn clutch can damage the flywheel because it can cause the flywheel to stop spinning.
A clutch kit typically includes the pressure plate, clutch disc, throw out bearing, pilot bearing (when needed), and alignment tool. Some kits also include a new flywheel. When considering a new clutch kit, it is important to know whether or not your kit will come with a new flywheel.
There are a few ways to tell your clutch is going. The first way is by the feel of the pedal. If the pedal feels spongy or soft, that is a sign the clutch is going. The second way is by the sound of the engine. If the engine is revving but the car is not moving, that is also a sign the clutch is going. The third way is by the smell of the car. If the car smells like it is burning, that is a sign the clutch is going.
If your car's clutch is going bad, you'll probably notice a few key signs. The first is that it will take longer for your car to engage when you put it into gear. You may also notice that your car's engine RPMs will increase when you press the clutch pedal, but the car won't actually move any faster. Additionally, you may hear a grinding noise when you try to shift gears. If you notice any of these symptoms, it's time to take your car to a mechanic to have the clutch checked.
How long does it take to change a clutch? It usually takes around two to three hours to change a clutch, depending on the make and model of the vehicle. However, some vehicles may take longer, so it's always best to consult your mechanic to be sure.
A noisy throw out bearing is usually an indication that the bearing is going bad and will need to be replaced soon. Depending on how long the noise has been going on, the bearing could last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. If the noise is ignored for too long, the bearing could fail completely which could cause damage to the transmission.
