Spectre Performance 903 Carburetor Lift Plate Review:

done the job. lifted a 750-pound, all-iron Chevy 350 with an automatic transmission (TH350) out and in. Platter is level. Never raised any questions. On the way out, account for the transmission by using the lifting ring to the back. The engine/trans combination was positioned at a 15-degree angle from horizontal as a result. This was insufficient. I used the center lift ring to enter again. This caused a tilt of 30 degrees. The equilibrium was ideal. To clear the transmission cross member, I had to apply a little downward hand pressure and a little upward hand pressure. This is ideal because I didn't want to add the height and additional expense of a balancing adjustment device.

Pac Man Style Carburetor Adjusting tool 308535003 Carb Review:

I have a Ryobi string trimmer that I think was made in 2009. Over the last year or so, both its performance and starting ease have declined. I was aware that the carburetor mixture settings needed to be adjusted to resolve the problem, but according to California emission regulations, which the entire industry embraced for tiny engines, the mixture screws were created without screwdriver slots. You're real smart, I thought. As a result, I became frustrated when I couldn't get my string trimmer to accelerate from idle without stalling out. I then started searching on Google and discovered various references to specialized equipment that might be used to modify the combination parameters. I discovered this tool on Amazon as well as on Ebay, but because I have Amazon Prime, shipping from Amazon was faster. My string trimmer is now operating like new after approximately 10 to 15 minutes of fiddling with the low and high mixture settings when I got there on Friday, May 17. Starts on the first pull once it has been run and is at normal operating temperature, as opposed to starting on the third or fourth pull when cold after priming. I got this equipment for $25, which was a lot less expensive than paying $150 to $200 for a new trimmer. I would advise everyone to purchase one of these tools so they can keep using what might otherwise be a broken unit. Get the proper adjustment tool for your model trimmer, just be sure. Some people use this tool, but some people have just one flat, while others have two flats. I was able to find these on Amazon, though. Prior to making a purchase, simply ascertain which tool will be compatible with your model.

Spectre Performance (42513) 1.5" Carburetor Stud with Hardware Review:

The devil is in the details, and they have some really great ones. They're simply carb studs, yes, but I get excited over silly things. My favorite feature is the hexagon pilot point, which enables socket installation rather than double-nut installation. It simply functions better. That hex will stop the stud in the gorilla kinds' intake from being overtightened. When the threads are fully engaged, the unthreaded portion acts as a positive stop, and the fine-thread nut end is stronger and torqued more smoothly than coarse-thread studs. The gold irridite finish on the very high-quality nuts and washers contrasts nicely with the black-oxide stud.Studs that aren't this good can fetch almost twice as much from bigger names. Don't let a name mislead you.

Carburetor Adjustment Kit Includes 530035560-2 Cycle Review:

Since I haven't gotten them yet, I can be assured they are being shipped from abroad. However, the corporation is not at blame. And they were the most affordable I could find. They should use a weedeater that bears the "Weedeater" brand, I anticipate. I'll update this post if they don't. Though I doubt you could ruin screwdrivers (haha, unintentional). It's not a major thing, but I definitely would have paid a little extra to get them sooner.Additionally, if you want to run around town as I did, save yourself some time and money. Rural King informed me that "major manufacturers" forbade them from offering the carb tuning tool for sale. This weedeater (bought by someone else) was used three or four times before it broke down because it needed an adjustment, and that irritates me to no end. Phillip's head adjusters, as they were once known, would be simple to use, but don't get me started on how things ought to be constructed.

Holley 26-68 Replacement Jet Removal Tool Review:

I had to get this tool since I needed it. I'm fiddling with a car and taking part in the final adjustments. I'm now fine-tuning a carburetor I had made specifically for my engine. After experimenting with a different name-brand carburetor that wasn't suitable for my needs, changing the jets frequently, and growing weary of damaging the jets with a flat-blade screwdriver. When I bought the jet assortment, I also bought the tool since I didn't want to cause the same issues I did with my new carb. The best tool for the job is this one. No more faulty jets, please.

Pit Posse Air Mixture Carburetor Adjusting Tool Review:

My new rating of 4 stars. After reading another customer's review of this product, I went back and edited my earlier review (see below). It has a tactile spring-loaded ball detent in the handle (its not the gearing in the head end). The ball needs to be taken out in order for this tool to feel truly precise and to deliver accurate feedback. It spins smoothly and easily now after I gave it a little lubrication and cleaned up a few burrs, as I believe it should. If I had known this before making the purchase, I would have been much more satisfied and could have used it right away for my reasons (after the field fix). If the purchaser did not require the click/detent feature, this tool would have easily received a 5 star rating if it had included a note about this field fix.My prior two-star rating:The handle even featured index marks, which led me to believe that this was some kind of precise instrument. The tool's fine adjustments on carb idle mixture screws are its intended use, which is why I bought it in the first place. But because the gearing is so tight (by design) and so noisy (click, click), I got no response from the screws I was adjusting. You can't really tell if you are making good contact with the screw at all because you can't feel the screw bottom out. For instance, even though you may have thought you made 2.25 perfect bends, one of them had the driver improperly engaged. Because the gearing is so harsh, it is impossible to tell whether you are engaged with the screw or not.Its ability to transform the input action to a 90-degree angle in a small space and ease of usage get it an A from me.I give it a D- for the feedback the user actually receives when using the tool, which makes it useless for my purposes.I came up with a different approach that is successful, and I actually know where I am with the modification (leaps and bounds beyond this specialized tool). Since I have already used this product, I don't expect to even try to get a refund, but I will surely let other potential buyers know that this may be a waste of money for them as well. $60 is undoubtedly much more frustrating than $20, which would be a "oh well, that didn't work for me" response.
