Anyway, I feel like I've finally returned the truck to normal after applying the brakes all around. After traveling roughly 1,000 miles, the vehicle abruptly came to a stop. I was just changing the front hub bearings today, after these brakes had been used for 10,770 kilometers. When I arrived at the brakes and rotors, they were in almost brand-new condition. I really do mean that they exhibited almost no wear on the left and right sides of the truck, as well as the left and right sides of the rotor. I was completely surprised. Since I have been pleased with every AC Delco part I have installed on the truck thus far, I will undoubtedly continue to do so.

These are what I put on the front of my 2016 Odyssey. They were an ideal match. They even added extra anti-rattling spring clips, and the pad backing plate had holes drilled onto the back for the springs that were appropriate. These pads were just just installed last week. It's way too early to judge them, but things are going well.They were inexpensive and simple to install. Everything in the shipment was brand-new hardware, and it all suited my 2010 Malibu wonderfully. The pads are quieter than the originals, which I miraculously got 80,000 miles from. The new pads are essentially noiseless. If I got 80,000 out of these, I'll attempt to report back.Since reading this review, I'd definitely buy these again.

These pads let us down on two different levels. Instructions were unclear (I didn't understand the purpose of those tiny wire bars until I read other reviews; it would have been better to attach them with the pads). Second, the inner pad did not fit on either side of the back. The fitting was higher than the metal tabs that locate the pads. This required me to grind down the paint and a small amount of metal (maybe a tenth of an inch) in order to properly insert them. The old ones on the car obviously had the same problem because the exterior pads were entirely worn out and the inner pads still had at least half of the pad, if not a lot more, to them. And they were tightly tucked in. Perhaps this is directly related to what I read about the brake wear problem with the 2008–2012 accords. I'm beginning to wonder if Honda misrepresented the specifications on these or if shoe holder sizes varied depending on the build. Although it needed more work from me, I'm not sure Bosch is to blame. Now they appear to operate smoothly. The brake release springs that came with this set (I didn't know what they were at the time) were missing from the ones that were removed from the vehicle. Perhaps the 08 doesn't require them. Perhaps the prior installation wasn't very well. Overall good deal, but be concerned about the surface's lack of paint (hopefully grease keeps out the moisture on that sliding part).

NOT between the shim and caliper. 2) To get rid of all the old grease and a thin coating of old brake pad material that has been deposited on the rotor, lightly sand it using coarse-grit sandpaper (150). In a manner comparable to using new rotors, this creates a fresh surface for the new brake material to deposit on. In my instance, it also got rid of some wash and wax that had accumulated on the brake rotors, which I assumed was the cause of my little squeak when the brakes were cold and damp. Naturally, avoid getting grease on the brake pads or rotors.
