R12 and r134 fittings are not different. There is no difference in the size or shape of the fittings. The only difference is that R12 is a refrigerant and R134 is a coolant.
No, AC lines cannot be rubber. AC lines are made of metal, typically copper or aluminum, and are insulated with a material that is an insulator at high frequencies, such as paper, plastic, or rubber.
Yes, you can patch a car AC hose, but it is not a permanent fix. The best way to fix a car AC hose is to replace it.
Yes, you can splice AC lines on a car. However, it is important to note that AC lines carry a high voltage and can be dangerous to work with. It is recommended that you have a qualified mechanic do the work for you.

Gates Hose I.D. Reducers 26390 1 1/2" to 1 1/4" (ONE PER PKG) (26390)

A fitting that would reduce the new hose's sleeve size from 1.5 inches to 1.25 inches was required. Some of the smaller (10–15 foot diameter) self-supporting circular pools include connectors that are 1.25 inches in diameter and what seems to be marine bilge hose running from the pool to the filter/pump and back to the pool. After several seasons of usage, hoses will split or crack since they are not UV-resistant. These reducers were discovered during an Internet search. They can be inserted into a "normal" 1.5-inch ribbed/UV-resistant pool hose with smooth sleeve fittings on each end, which is generally supplied by Pool Supply retailers in lengths of 3 and 6. No matter how firmly you tighten the hose clamp, this sleeve reducer will not seal 1.5 inch ribbed hose without sleeves! This is the strongest and most affordable sleeve reducer I could find. It was originally made to convert 1.5 inch radiator tubing to earlier 1.25 inch GM radiator connections.

Similar to an OEM factory part, this tube fits perfectly. My high-pressure port also failed to properly seal. It fit my Suburban flawlessly. A 1/2-ton 2002 Chevrolet Suburban LS with 4WD and the 5.3L flex-fuel (up to E-85) engine option was the vehicle I applied for. If your VIN has a "Z" in the eighth place, such as 1GNFK16Z02J14xxxx, you can determine your car is flex-fuel.As the other reviewer mentioned, in order to access the fitting on the condensor outlet, you must first remove the headlight assembly and grille. Pay particular attention while you remove the old tube (and if necessary, take notes and pictures!). To install the new one, follow the exact same procedure. It can only go one direction. The new tube must be carefully positioned and rotated while following the path the old tube took to exit. If you try to hammer this thing in there, the aluminum tubing will be broken because of its thin wall. While I was down there, I removed the entire bumper and used a drill-mounted wire brush to remove all the rust inside. I then applied a rust converter primer and rubberized undercoating to stop the bumper from rusting from the inside out. Since I had to replace the compressor as well during the repair, I was already in this situation. My car's serpentine belt tensioner for the air conditioning was an ACDelco item that I also purchased from Amazon, part number ACDelco 38159 Drive Belt Tensioner Assembly. When I changed the compressor (Denso 471-0316 New Compressor with Clutch) that had malfunctioned and been the source of the infamous GM A/C clatter, belt snapping, and tensioner slamming issue, I also changed this. TSBs #01-01-38-013A (dated October 29, 2003) and #03-01-38-019A are examples (Sep 3, 2004).

In order to fill up my car's tires, I utilize a bicycle pump and digital gauge. For usage on vehicle tires, the usual lever connectors on bicycle pumps like the highly regarded Schwin have grown too wide, annoying, bulky, and heavy. In certain instances, hubcaps had to be removed in order to attach due to the length of the valve stem. The issue is resolved by this hose. I initially attach the bicycle pump to one end because it resembles the Schraeder valve on an automobile. Since this hose is essentially an extension and has no valve, I start with that. Therefore, air would seep out if I attached the line starting at the tire.Once the hose is attached to the pump, I screw the female end onto the tire's valve. There is a brief moment during which I experience a small air leak, but it immediately tightens. Now that everything is airtight, I can use the bicycle pump to add air and measure the pressure using the pump's gauge. I always overfill, take the hose off, and use a digital gauge to fine-tune.

The OEM no longer produces a replacement for the line that had a clogged orifice tube in my 2004 Dakota. I wasn't sure whether it would truly fit because this one doesn't have the flexible hose that runs behind the accumulator. I chose to try it since I had no other choices. It fit! follows the same same path as the original through the engine area. The loop at the condenser end with the high-side valve and pressure switch connector is significantly higher than the original, and that is the only notable variation. Everything is fine because it comes within an inch of the hood's bottom. Unlike the original, it contains a fitting that will allow changing the orifice tube if it ever becomes blocked again. It also arrived with the appropriate orifice tube for my truck. Plus, it only costs a tenth of what the OEM asked for a replacement, assuming they even had any! It's nice to have proper A/C once more.

This fits quite snugly. Despite having strong hands, I ultimately made the decision to give up and immerse the air hose in hot water. A little bit of liquid dish soap, I reasoned, couldn't hurt while I was getting the water. The fitting fit the hose perfectly in between the two. Although they claim it may be reused, you would probably need to clip the hose from the fitting.Excellent quick patch for an air hose hole.

Yes, you can use PTFE hose for AC. PTFE is a fluoropolymer that has a wide range of applications due to its high chemical resistance, low friction coefficient, and wide temperature range. This makes it an ideal material for use in air conditioning systems.
AC hoses are made to last a long time, but there are a few things that can shorten their lifespan. The most common thing that will shorten the life of an AC hose is exposure to the elements. If an AC hose is left out in the sun or in a humid environment, it will start to degrade much quicker than if it were stored in a cool, dry place. Another thing that can shorten the life of an AC hose is constant flexing. If an AC hose is constantly being bent and flexed, it will eventually start to crack and leak.
If your car's air conditioning system needs a new line, it will likely cost between $200 and $400 to replace. The cost will depend on the make and model of your car, as well as the complexity of the repair.
Auto air conditioning lines are made of different materials depending on the manufacturer. The most common materials are copper, aluminum, and steel.
The color of R12 service hoses is blue.
The car AC refrigerant is typically a greenish color.
