There isn't really anything you can add to what has already been written about this tacch.Tach, this is NOT some subpar garbage.This and the selection of Auto Meter gauges in this category are the greatest if you want the best.I have these in a number of vehicles, and I have never been let down by them, had one fail, or had anyone say anything bad about them.It is smooth and accurate, and it installs quickly.With all the technology it has, you don't have to worry about a thing because it takes care of everything.I've been to car shows a lot and seen some extremely great vehicles with 20- to 50-dollar gauge kits or Tachs.The gauges are the first thing you notice, so they might as well be turds.But when wearing one of these Tachs, even a turd looks serious.Get this if you polish and want to look like a race car.Get this if you're a motor person and you value speed more than appearances.Therefore, if your vehicle need a tach regardless of what you do to it, this is the tach I suggest.

It reads "I'm going 55, stay alive," but I've already received my eighth DUI since installing it because the actual reading is 10 mph slower, and it really tickles my Elmo that you sold me this really nice speedometer, but I'd happily buy another and make one hell of a sales pitch to convince someone else to buy this fancy piece of meat! Always wear shoes inside the house, and keep in mind that safety comes before teamwork. ALWAYS!!!!! And keep in mind that if you're not first, you are last, as mom often says, and if she did, the troof N166a who!? However, I do have one complaint: neither my bow flex nor treadmills work, despite the fact that the product is excellent.

Large numbers, a white background with a black border, an optional chrome picture frame, and mechanical actuation make it resistant to noise or issues with electricity. Only the light for the nighttime required cables to be connected. This is a good item! I put it to use to replace a Tach that I was unable to make work, but that left me with a hole in the dash. Vacuum offers more information about the engine than RPM in many ways. I'm overjoyed with my buy.

They sent me a blown shift light bulb, which is the only reason I didn't give this review five stars. Although installation was simple, the shift light did not work. I eventually found out, though, that they had actually installed a blown bulb in a brand-new shift light. It just a few dollars for a replacement two-pack, and it was as good as new. Not a big deal, just time-consuming and unpleasant. The tach is fantastic all around. Both the appearance and functionality are excellent. would repurchase.

My engine is a 1997 Ford 6.8L, 415ci V10. Ford and other businesses informed me there is no TACH plugin.In order to balance the harmonics, I used my Tach-gun on a little piece of reflective tape. I now knew the precise RPM.There are Tachometers available for $250 and above that employ a HAL sensor and a reflector tape or magnet; they were primarily digital 2 1/2 inches.I then went to look at analog tachometers designed for diesel engines.The only year I know of with this configuration is 1997, however this Auto Meter Tach filled the bill perfectly and can be used on ANY engine with an alternator. Additionally, it only went to 5k RPM, while the V10 red lines at 4800 RPM and shuts out the computer at 4900 RPM.Reflector tape is used since the pickup is near the alternator, which means that the reading will be different from the Harmonic Balancer.
