Prothane 8-907 Red Front Lower Shock Bushing Kit Review:

When a straightforward shock repair resulted in a damaged bolt, drilling out the OEM bushing, and a car that was more than 20 years old, I required this device. I was unable to remove the control arm because I was concerned that I would break further bolts in places where my drill could not reach. With the help of a "C" clamp, I was able to force this bushing into my control arm, which made installation a breeze. The following time I need a bushing, I'll consult the Prothane catalog.Since I have only driven it a few hundred miles since installation and this is a replacement car, I am unable to comment on durability. So far, no squeaking or unusual suspension behavior has been noticed.

Daystar, Universal Shock Tower Grommets, Large Diameter OE Style 1.75 O.D. x .885 Nipple x .420 I.D., KU08034BK, Made in America Review:

I drive a 1991 Isuzu trooper and a 1993 Ford Explorer. These are for a larger truck than both of mine, but I've used them on both, even though I had to drill out the upper shock mounts on the isuzu to make them fit. These bushings significantly improved both trucks' rides and reduced rattles. Both shocks still had life in them (KYB gas adjust on the exploder, those will outlast the truck), but there was movement before these were installed since the original grommets/bushings were worn out and fractured. Pressing out the lower shock eye bushings and replacing them with energy suspension replacements is also an excellent idea.

Rancho RS978 Bushing Kit Review:

RS978 Rancho 5/8 "Rancho type L1 hourglass-shaped polyurethane shock bushings. These are the polyurethane bushings Rancho (Rancho type L1 5/8) had recommended "), but the inside diameter (ID) was too big without using the original steel sleeves, spacers, or inserts, one of which was broken, for use in the bottom mount of my front Rancho RS5136 shocks. To make these bushings work with my about 7/16" studs, I had to squeeze the sleeves out of my spare set of Bilsteins and install them with these bushings "bolts holding down the shock.Rancho, on the other hand, reportedly would have warranted the entire shock for the lower bushing failure (in my second-hand shocks, which are over ten years old), but I didn't find out about that until I contacted Rancho tech support to inquire about the availability of the upper bushings (Rancho type S42) in polyurethane, which prompted them to send me a conventional set for both front shocks for free and within a week. There is no notice that the sleeves must be kept or purchased, even though Rancho's specifications clearly indicate 5/8 "for these bushings, so ordering them without measuring was at my own risk.5 stars for the high-quality, USA-made polyurethane bushings and outstanding customer service.

Energy Suspension 9.8101G SHOCK TOWER GROMMETS Review:

Grab a set of these Urethane shock absorber grommets when replacing those old, worn shock absorbers to achieve the best performance, handling, and durability for your car. They last a lifetime and are used to replace the OEM rubber grommets. Simply remove the rubber grommets from the shock absorbers and replace them with urethane ones. This only takes a few minutes, and your new shocks will function better and last longer.Energy Suspension goods are the best in the business; they aren't cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for in terms of performance and quality!Highly advisable!

Daystar, Universal Hourglass Shock Eye Bushing Std. 3/4" I.D. Pair, KU08007BK, Made in America, Black Review:

My 2012 Tacoma has Bilstein 5100s installed, however I later chose to take it back to stock and trade it in. I wanted to change the rear 5100 wheels from my 1999 4runner onto the salvaged ones, however these bushings were necessary to make it work. Simple, and it spared me from having to purchase new shocks. I can't answer to how long they will last, but I don't really see anything failing soon.

Prothane 8-901-BL Black Front Shock Bushing Kit Review:

Simply said, it's aaaaagh. My og ES set's center finally started to deteriorate. These reportedly degrade over a longer period of time than OG rubber. That being said, don't assume you do things once, put more than 160,000 miles on them, and then figure you can put 160,000 more miles on them. AINT occurring. At least not with these MI roads. Rubble State lol

Rancho RS979 Bushing Kit Review:

First of all, as many have already stated, THIS IS NOT POLYURETHANE! Although I was aware of this when I ordered the kit, the image and explanation should be corrected. I'm simply deducting one star for that reason. With the exception of the false description, this kit is really affordable. I used to substitute the missing bushings from a Rancho double stabiliser kit I purchased. Moreover, the set has four washers rather than simply two.
