still functions with the Ignitor 1 on a stock 4bbl 67 327 after four months. I'm not sure how long it lasts with the additional electric load from the updated modules. needed a longer clamp screw to retain it because its diameter was a little larger than the stock coil. Its cheap paint was also peeled off at the clamp to ensure that it would grind just by turning it a little. For all the ring terminals I mounted on one, the threaded wire posts are a touch too short. I abhor these coils' lack of a solid metal foundation on which to clamp down and hold the terminals, not these pointless little metal plates that spin about. I didn't enjoy having to remove the original resistance wire, but it doesn't matter because the new technology works much better.

My engine will get the needed bang and spark from the Mallory 29219 coil. I wanted to provide an update after running this for few months. The Mallort coil continues to operate effectively. I enjoy being able to explain to folks why my 1969 Pontiac Firebird sounds more recent than it did fifty years ago. I say that since we converted to an electronic ignition coil, my automobile always has the power it requires. My vintage tractor stopped starting a few weeks ago, so I bought this to replace a who knows-how-old coil. Since I just installed it today, it hasn't had a chance to show itself for months on end. To make everything solid state, I also bought the Pertronix Ignitor electronic ignition system. What a distinction! The tractor had been spewing some black smoke prior to installing these parts, leading me to believe it had a carburetion problem. However, today it works like a champ and there is no smoke. I'm hoping that this coil will last for a very long time.

My 1953 Chevrolet vehicle has a "high performance" coil in it that was installed by the previous owner. It had a rating of.7 ohms of resistance and around 40,000 volts. The issue was that even with the ballast resistor connected in series with the coil, the ohms flowing through the points were still too high, causing the points to weld together—not good. ANYWAY, switching to this coil's 1.5 ohms of additional resistance is sufficient to maintain the points' proper temperature, and the voltage output through the spark is also satisfactory. My truck is running better than ever, and the points might potentially outlive the truck.

The coil itself has the marking "LETHAL VOLTAGE" on it. Turn off before servicing I've been working on cars for decades, but I've never faced anything like that. Standard coils, magnetos, capacitive discharge, and other ignition sources for fostering combustion have stung me. To get to the point, ACCEL produces HIGH performance goods. I have even snapped myself with a piezoelectric ignitor from a grill (I now use it for testing spark plugs). This was largely bought for that purpose. Knowing that my spark plugs would be tormented in this way, ceaselessly, for as long as my engine was running gave me a special sense of satisfaction and comfort. When going is preferable to staying home, THIS is a good thing. Enough said.

Taiwanese parts, according to the packaging. A significant difference and a 10 minute install for all three. The last time the automobile experienced tripping and essentially being unable to drive was four months ago. As they do wear down over time, I decided to replace them because they were intermittent. Something I had forgotten about as things gradually faded started to make a noticeable effect almost immediately. I then became aware of how quickly things accelerated. I had switched out the plugs (which had over 100K and the wires earlier with no significant difference). The car is a 2001 GM with a 3800 Series II engine, so I'm anxious to know if the gas mileage improves. I chose this product since it was less expensive than Genuine AC Delco components, which may have originated from the same manufacture line as these but we will never know for sure. All AC Delco parts come with a disclaimer stating that the only thing that is real about them is the box they come in; the actual parts, like my Kenmore washer and dishwasher, are made by different companies.

I used this coil to convert my boat's Mercruiser 120 4-cylinder (1985 Regal Medallion) to an electronic ignition system (Pertronix ignitor 2). I bought the original one from eBay two years ago and never had a problem. Salt water caused the terminals to corrode over time, although they were still functional. Ordered a backup from Amazon just in case, but there was no immediate need to install it. It's incredible how much more power my boat has and how much the new coil and ignitor have improved the engine's sound and health. Would advise using for maritime purposes!

When traveling between 45 and 55 mph when under load, my 2007 F150 had this minor miss. About a year ago, I changed the plugs, which temporarily resolved the issue before it reappeared. I had no idea MSD produced coil packs for my truck until I started looking for them. As a young lad, I used to watch drag racing, so I was aware that MSD produced quality gear.Installing the coil packs is not too difficult. The two that are closest to the firewall are a little challenging, but the effort is worthwhile rather than having a store charge me way too much to do it. The slight click I heard when installing the new ones was all I needed to know that my truck will perform significantly better. The little spring that glides over the top of the spark plug was not tensioned on the older models. Excellent item, highly recommended

When I can, I really enjoy utilizing Motorcraft components, but I couldn't buy a full set. Instead, I switched to these, and they've been fantastic! Spark plugs themselves and the head's surface are both well-sealed by the plug boots. I have 6,000 miles on them, and there are no codes.
