I had a spigot that, during the summer, fed an automatic watering system but wouldn't shut off at the end of the season. The valve quickly closed when I sprayed this into the space between the handle shaft and the casing (worked it in by opening and closing the value repeatedly, occasionally spraying more into the gap area).This year, the scorching sun must have heated the valve numerous times much above its rated temperature. That one use save me a trip to the plumber. Who knows what he would have wanted to do; perhaps he would have wanted to completely replace the spigot and open up the wall.

It really works well. When it contained trichloroethylene, I always used the radio shack product. They took it out later, and I discovered it wasn't working as well. Twenty years later, one of my older guitar amplifiers emerges from storage. The volume and tone pots are all unstable and crackly. I required a cleaning agent for them. I finally discovered the ideal silicone for my Ironmaster Smith machine after searching for a month. Nearly $50 has been spent on my search for the ideal one. You name it, I bought it: liquid wrench, blaster, garage, WD-40 (all silicone). None of them performed as I had hoped, and they are quite damaging to the bushings in my Smith machine. Additionally, Walmart, Lowe's, and Home Depot all sell the same garbage. They all function similarly to standard WD40 and have the same penatrating thin viscosity. Consequently, when applied, beads basically come off and run wild. Where then is the lubricant and protection?Any silicone will work, according to Ironmaster, who insisted that silicone alone be used. What a load of crap! The im2000's bushings are made of plastic, and many of these so-called silicone sprays damage plastic. I want everybody would experience what I did... Additionally, it can be difficult to locate silicone lubricant with a high silicone content.Prior to this, I used Foster silicone, which was ideal for my Smith machine. However, for some reason, this brand is no longer in existence and has not yet been located. Even my Smith was used to test the rails. The rail on the left that has Fosters silicone glides like butter, whereas the rail on the right that has all those so-called silicone sprays I purchased stutters as it goes up and down. It was gummed up, as I can see. awful for the bushing There was a great deal of friction going on since I also felt heat on that rail.I'll now evaluate Permatex. Like the Foster spray I used, this material applied with a light foaming effect. In contrast to the others I used, I can see that this has a high silicone foundation. It completely leaves a protective coating and coats without beading or running. Given how quickly it dries, I would argue that it is more of a dry silicone. You'll see a white film, but don't worry, it will dry clear in a matter of seconds. There is hardly any leftover order. My Smith machine's two rails move as smoothly as a stone on glass. This is truly fantastic stuff! I'm sure I'll use this for further purposes as well. If you purchase the other silicone sprays I listed, you might as well purchase the pricy, pungent WD40 instead, which has a far lower silicone content. The only drawback is that I wish my neighborhood supermarkets offered it more frequently.
