DIYSELF Exacto Knife Upgrade Precision Carving Craft Knife Hobby Knife Exacto Knife Kit 40 Spare Exacto Knife Blades for Art, Scrapbooking,Stencil Review:

This set of Xacto knives is fantastic. I enjoy that I have a good selection of replacements to choose from, and they're all excellent and very sharp. Since I am an artist and am always producing creative pieces, this package is really helpful to me.

X-ACTO Basic Knife Set | Set Contains 3 Precision Knives, 10 Precision Knife Blades, Wooden Chest for Storage (14 Count) Review:

I agree with what another reviewer said regarding this knife set, however I'm going to take action. The problem with this set is that the knife piece is not securely packed and should stay in place, but is instead covered in a cheap plastic insert. To give the plastic insert some support and to add some weight to the case, I'm going to load modeling clay inside it. To put it frankly, the current configuration is unsafe, therefore I'll also be adding a tiny stick of some kind to help gently push the knife handles out. To make the knife set a little less likely to slip and pop the knives out in an erratically, Xacto has to take some action similar to this.Another major issue is that when the box is closed and then opened again, the top blades, which are held in place by a magnetic strip, fall out in their whole. This is due to the low-quality glue that is used to hold the magnetic strip in place, which doesn't stick to the backing. On mine, a little Elmers glue made that right. The knife holders and blades are excellent otherwise. Simply put, I believe that some Xacto bean counters got a little overzealous and stole a gorgeous knife set instead of leaving things alone.More Update - February 2019: Sargent Art Plastilina Modeling Clay, 5-Pound, White is what I purchased and utilized to fill in the gaps in the cheap plastic base that was underneath the knife set. It performed flawlessly. The box, which is made of a really fine wood, has a wonderful weight to it, making it easy to draw out the knives without risking slippage or having the entire plastic component come out and potentially injure you. This knife set is significantly safer because to the modeling clay and Elmer's glue for the magnetic strip. I hope you're listening, Xacto, because here's the situation: To get quality, we pay. not for low-cost trash. Although the knives are excellent, we want quality in EVERY part of your items, including the holders and boxes that are supplied. Quality is timeless and is remembered, while subpar and inexpensive goods are remembered much more. Rather than being the bean counter cheapness monarchs aiming to cut costs, be the quality player. My two cents, only.

REXBETI 12-Pack Utility Knife, Retractable Box Cutter for Cartons, Cardboard and Boxes, 18mm Wider Razor Sharp Blade, Smooth Mechanism, Perfect for Office and Home use Review:

Cheaper box cutters frequently fall short because the plastic components break, the blade comes off, or the blade locking mechanism malfunctions. With these box cutters, this has not up until now been the case. They haven't been coming apart and appear to be rather well made. (I primarily use them to remove cardboard boxes from online purchase deliveries.) Some reviewers mentioned that some of the box cutters had the blades slightly protruding when they arrived. Sadly, that also applied to the ones I received. They were contained inside the product box in a plastic bag, which offered some kind of security. However, it would be proper for the producer to completely retract the blades before distributing them to merchants...

X-ACTO #11 Classic Fine Point Replacement Blades, Pack of 40 (X711) Review:

Since I began building balsa wood model airplanes at the age of 9, the X-Acto #11 blade in small X-Acto craft knife handles has been one of my most essential tools. In more recent times, it has become one of the crucial tools in the hobbyist construction of electronic devices, used for tasks like trimming solder joints, cutting circuit traces for desired signal routing, adjusting component positions, and drilling holes in plastic front panels for the mounting of switches and LEDs, among others. However, changing the blades has grown more challenging in recent years, possibly as a result of a decline in the popularity of arts and crafts and the resulting decrease in the demand for this type of equipment. There are more than I likely will need with this bundle of 40 brand-new #11 blades for the rest of my life, assuming the package is not lost, of course. Quite the find, many thanks.

Fiskars 163050-1001 Fingertip Craft Knife, 7 Inch, Orange Review:

This useful small tool works perfectly, but if it cost much more, I wouldn't give it a perfect five stars.I simply wish it were heavier and had better machining to be more "solid." Thoughts:The blade should be able to rotate a little. Two channels located below the threaded collar aid in keeping the detachable blade in place. I wish there were additional channels in addition to the ones that keep the blade at a 90-degree angle so I could spin the blade slightly instead of keeping my wrist straight up and down. For instance, the blade may be placed at 10:00 instead of 12:00, causing it to naturally come to rest straight up and down at 12:00 as I relaxed my wrist.Nevertheless, one can still make precise and thorough cuts, so don't let this be a deal-breaker.

140 PCS Exacto Knife Blades, High Carbon Steel #11 Refill Exacto Art Blades Cutting Tool with Storage Case for Craft, Hobby, Scrapbooking, Stencil Review:

Although I typically use X-Acto brand knives, I'm pleased I gave these a shot. For the price, you receive a utility knife with 10 extra blades, a ruler, and three pen knives with 90 extra blades. Since the blades are so keen, the fact that every pen knife has a safety cover is a significant plus. 50 of the 90 blades are the typical #11 blade. Having 50 of these is fantastic because I use it the most frequently. However, you should be aware that it could not be your preferred blade. The utility knife features snap off bits for when you need a new edge and is excellent for cutting wood. Along with inches and centimeters, the ruler also has a bonus millimeter conversion table on the back. I especially appreciate that everything is kept together in a secure storage container. It makes it very easy to pack in my travel craft equipment (a straightforward tackle box) for when I go to class. A beginning or intermediate craftsman would love this tool kit.

Darice B002C12EHM, 3 Knives, Assorted Review:

These utility knives are what I refer to as "1-project" knives because they quickly lose their initial sharpness, making it simple to use up every blade in a weekend of cutting. They're good if you're just buying them to use for things like opening Amazon boxes, but they aren't precise cutting tools for things like crafting or home maintenance. For the biggest knife in particular, I found it quite difficult to break off the blades without pliers; typically, I can just "push" a snap-off knife blade against the table to get the tip to pop off.

Excel Blades K1 Hobby Knife with Safety Cap, American Made Light Duty Craft Knife, 1 Pack Review:

These blades were suggested to me by a buddy who is also a cosplayer and who uses them exclusively. I chose to give these a try rather than the well-known X-ACTO knives, and I was blown away after just one use. With what it comes with, the blades are more enduring, and I achieve the clean cuts on foam that are shown. Finally, I mastered cutting bevel angles on high density foam, and the blades work quite well under such pressure. In comparison to other common brand hobby knives, the mechanism used to release and replace the blades feels a little different and appears to have a greater grip on the blades. I'm looking forward to purchasing more items from this hobby knife manufacturer because they have so many more in their inventory to test out. Especially recommended at such a low cost.

Precision Exacto Knife Upgrade Precision Carving Craft Knife Hobby Knife Exacto Knife Kit Review:

What I was looking for, exactly! I like the variety of edges you used! Works well with Cricut vinyls and meets all of my crafting needs. I also like the updated utility knife because it locks securely and is non-slip. Excellent value for money! I mean, neither the price nor the quantity of a pack of blades from Walmart can compare to what you pay for this full set! Also a plus, the delivery was done quite quickly. (SEE IMAGES!)

Cricut Replacement Cutting Blades for Cutting Machines Review:

It didn't cut worth a darn, so I must have received a bad one. But Amazon was nice about replacing it, and the one I got after that functions as it should. I've included a picture of the exact same project that was completed with the same settings and mat as an illustration. The blade at the top was the original (faulty) one, and the blade at the bottom was the replacement. The first one just partially cut through the chipboard, shredding the material as it went.In case it occurs to someone else, I have added this information. It couldn't have been a used blade because Amazon does not accept defective blades for return. The replacement blade still hasn't completely won me over because it doesn't seem to perform much better than the standard blade. The only change, according to the people at Cricut, is that it's a little longer and can go a little deeper, but the blade's sharp edge appears to be the same size overall. The length difference seems so minimal, and I have yet to encounter a project where it was definitely required. The Cricut employee I spoke with claimed that it isn't any sharper, stronger, or otherwise.I hope this aids someone in making a thoughtful choice.
