Cobalt Aquatics Mini MJ 606 Water Pump - 159gph Review:

I got this to replace my nano reef tank's return pump. This pump produces a discernible difference and has a turnover rate that is roughly twice that of the stock pump. When I originally plugged it in, the jet was almost blasting out of the tank, so I had to modify my output nozzle. You still get a lot of surface rippling even with the nozzle pointed straight front. You must take off the front and back covers of the filter in order for the pump to fit in the limited space offered by Fluval. As long as you remove both covers, I didn't think sanding the filter's back as someone else suggested was required. Keep in mind, though, that doing so prevents you from controlling the pump's flow. If you take this way, you can only run it at full speed, but if you're seeking for the upgrade in the first place, I'd guess this isn't a problem. I had to use a pair of long tweezers to firmly push the filter down the chamber because it is an EXTREMELY tight fit. As it descends, it appears to "pop" in nicely. It's also important to note that I'm not utilizing the mounting bracket that came with the device. Since this pump is taller than the conventional pump, the tubing must be trimmed before installation to prevent kinks. This pump is so powerful that it even moves some of my sand. This can be a problem if you're using sand with ultra-fine grains. Additionally, the pump is much noisier than the OEM pump. Not enough to be unpleasant, but you can tell when it is active. Whether you utilized the bracket, it might be lessened, but I'm not sure if it would fit with it; results may vary.Overall, it's an excellent enhancement for your nano reef for $30.

MistKing 22251 Starter Misting System V4.0 - PetOverstock Review:

This device is amazing. More fine than a sprayer or even the reptile pressure mister bottles, mist is INCREDIBLY fine. For my crested gecko, I have one nozzle in an 18x18x24 exoterra, and it is MORE THAN ENOUGH. emits mist that fills the entire tank. It's quite silent. You can only hear the water gushing out of the nozzle because it is in my bedroom. Due to how difficult it is to set up, I was torn between giving this item a 4 or a 5 star rating. I used suction cups and a screen top to accomplish it without drilling a hole in it (you'll understand when you buy it). I'll share some images. The timer is also a bit of a pain, but once used, it works fine, albeit it could be simpler and faster. In comparison to other systems, it is similarly expensive. This item is bulletproof and rock solid despite all of that. This gadget is wonderful once you invest the time into setting it up. I realize that's overkill for my single tank and one gecko, but I needed something quiet that I only had to buy once, and this is it. If you're undecided about which system to purchase, just get this and move on. I received nothing for free; I paid the whole price.

Fluval A20015 Ribbed Hosing (Non-Kink) 305, 306, 405, 406 (9.8 ft Length) Review:

It made me happy to discover this tubing on Amazon. The cable that came with the filter wasn't long enough after I received my new tank and stand. Since the neighborhood pet store was out of tubing, I had to make do with some plumbing supplies. It goes without saying that my interim remedy was inadequate, so I was delighted to receive these in the mail. Get two because one won't get you very far from your filter. This one is excellent; I purchased it for a Fluval 406. Being aware that the filter will be installed on a sizable aquarium that most likely will remain on a stand, it is unfortunate that Fluval does not include a longer tube with the filter.

Two Little Fishies ATL5445W Ball Valve for Regulating Water Flow, 1/2-Inch Review:

This item is excellent. I have around ten. Both using clamps and leaking have never happened to me. They hold. 5 inchinch inner dismater rubber hose so effectively that you must cut them off once they are on. I want to have issues. But because of the brand name, the first time I bought, I believed I was getting "Two" for the price of one. Laugh. Being myself every day is depressing. But just to be clear, you are purchasing "one" valve from Two Little Fishes and not "two" from Little Fishes. As stupid as I am, I am writing this in the hopes and prayers that there is at least one other person who is even more stupid.

COODIA Internal Green Water Killer Filter Aquarium Tank U-V Light Submersible Disinfection Pump Review:

My loft receives a lot of sunlight, thus my 60 gallon aquarium always battles algae. In September, the sun began shining directly on my tank throughout the daytime while I was away. I arrived home to an eruption of blooms and water that resembled kiwi sangria. A significant water change and closing the curtains were unable to stop it. Purchased this infant, and after about seven days it was more crystal clear than ever. Most people advise against using UV systems permanently since they oversanitize water. I find that it is vital to keep it on given the amount of light I receive. Put it on a timer if your setting is more tightly controlled for lighting. Over time, UV lights do lose some of their potency. Based on calculations, this system ought to be able to function for approximately a year. In that case, it would be advisable to replace the construction in half. I haven't yet located the replacement bulbs. Given the price of this unit, replacing the entire system would not break the bank.

Eshopps AEO19085 Float Valve for Aquarium Water Pump Review:

Remarkable. I've been doing this hobby for 55 years, and I rarely feel enthusiastic about new things. My sump's functionality has improved significantly as a result of this float valve. I only need to add water to the reservoir that feeds the sump once every six weeks because I can now maintain the water level within 1/8 inch. In the past, I had to deal with adding water every three to four days, and I was constantly worried that I would forget to fill the sump and the system would malfunction. I believe the manufacturing and design to be of the highest caliber. It does call for some technical expertise, and I enjoy "tinkering." Install it unhindered in its own spa area, add teflon tape to the screw threads under water pressure, and handle with care. Because the entire float mechanism is above water, there is very little possibility that a snail or other object will interfere. Other choices The cost of float valve solutions is significantly higher, and they frequently need a pump, controls, and electronics to function—all of which are significant sources of failure and water flooding. The greatest advancement in aquarium technology since LED lights, in my opinion.

Eheim Suction Cup w/ Clip 4014100 Review:

These suction cups are excellent for replacing earlier Eheim suction cups with since they securely grip the plastic components for the intake and output. The sole drawback of these is that, regardless of the manufacturing method or rubber used by Eheim, they degrade quickly. They lose their capacity to suction and become difficult to use.If the intake tube comes unsuctioned from your glass and is left off for a time, it won't have the same grip when you try to reinstall it.The key is to always stay attached to your glass since else, you'll find yourself needing to buy new cups quite frequently.

Laguna Silicone O-Rings Lubricant Review:

So, when I changed the water in my Fluval filter, I had a lot of trouble getting the shut-off valve to open. I used to tug on the hoses so hard I was afraid I was going to break them. I finally decided to do some investigation and found this information. I received it, applied it to the rubber seals, and the issue was resolved. The size of this bottle is my only gripe. Since they packed it in such a large box, the Amazon employee must have chuckled. It's my fault, but it's worth deducting a star because the description clearly states the size on.
