I removed some water and filled my 55-gallon tank with hot water. a tank to assist in warming the water Fish began to move around the tank more after a new heater was installed. They were FREEZING so badly, you guys, that I honestly believed two of them were already dead. I took 1 and flushed him down the toilet, but I wasn't prepared for him to move around. I grabbed him right away and put him back in the tank. THEY WERE ALL ALIVE! I was astonished! AWFUL FISH! The following morning when I arrived, they were all swimming around joyfully once more. My heater kept turning on the red light, so I wish there was a way to tell when they aren't functioning properly. And the heater was a part of the tank package. Glad I came across this heater. It was quick to work!

The 3.5 gallon tanks are warmed up by around 15' using the heater, which operates at 110-220V, 25W. 24 degrees Celsius is about right for the temperature.It features a sensor inside that will turn off the heater if the water temperature rises above 26C. The fish in both of my 5 gallon betta tanks that I purchased of these always seemed sluggish and laid out on the bottom of the tank. After comparing prices at my neighborhood pet store, I purchased them after reading that they preferred somewhat warm water. I was concerned if it would be good because the identical exact one at Meijer was twice this expensive.I plugged them both in, obviously one in each tank, and attached the suction cups; there was nothing to adjust; the red light indicated that they were functioning; after about an hour, they turned green, indicating that the temperature was correct; I tested the water, finding that it was only slightly warmer than room temperature. Prior to that, though, it felt quite cool to the touch, nearly freezing. Both fish were swimming all over the place in less than an hour.Even though it's still early, I have to admit that this was a terrific purchase since it happened four days ago. I can't believe how much of a change it made, but the fish continue to appear happier, more energetic, and eating better.All is well thus far. I know it's stupid, but the fact that I adore my fish makes me very certain that bettas have personalities! Having these warmers and providing the fish with more comfort has made me feel like a lot better fish owner, and I swear their colors appear brighter—possibly a side effect? It works as said, is very reasonably priced, and automatically changes the water's temperature. I have absolutely no complaints about this product.

extremely thin design Even in my tiny, spherical tank, it practically vanishes. A comforting feature is the indication light. I adore how the light allows me to quickly check the temperature and understand how the heater is functioning. It has no effect on my fish. He struggles with the glass thermometer, but the heater doesn't bother him. There is also no risk of him being caught in any manner because it hugs the glass.This is a heater review, but it's also something I've learnt the hard way, so hopefully someone can take anything away from it. I own a spherical Topfin Bettaflo tank that holds 3.3 gal. At its widest point, it is 10 inches tall and 10 inches wide. There isn't a lot of interior space because the filter is a substrate and the return tower rises straight up the centre of the tank. The problem is that heat doesn't escape through the glass. With my previously acquired 15 watt heater from Petsmart, the temperature inside the container, which is like a thermos when the lid is on, increased to 86°. That's not far from a cooked fishy in terms of temperature. Sincerely, I believed that resting was the purpose of fish tanks. I'm anxious about this tank because it's hard to keep the temperature steady. Because a stick-on thermometer won't register any temperature, it appears that the glass is LowE. Regarding the heater, it's fantastic and, after a few days of adjustment, it currently maintains a constant 82 degrees in my tank. A strong recommendation!

The product performs as promised. I consider this fish to be my adopted child, who I co-parent with my partner. Blu used to be imprisoned in a frigid dish and acted very sluggishly. After doing some study (i.e., using Google), I learned that for betta fish to grow, the water temperature required to be maintained at a consistently higher degree. That gloomy bowl was thus replaced by a tiny tank, a water filter, and this heater. It's like day and night. Blu's swim has a lot more style. I wasn't sure at first if it was working or not, but occasionally a red indicator light will turn on to signal that the water is being heated. The only reason I docked a star was because, until I bought an aquarium thermometer separately, I really had no way of knowing what the actual temperature of the water was. I didn't see any thermometer strips that came with this gadget (unless I just overlooked them and tossed them away accidentally). My two gallon tank consistently maintained a temperature of 79 or 80 degrees, allowing me to confirm that it maintained the water exactly between 77 and 82 as claimed. I was concerned that the heater could be too powerful for a tiny tank, but I haven't had any problems with overheating. I heartily endorse making this purchase! (particularly when used with an aquarium thermometer)

Two of these were purchased by me to heat my reef tank. I underpowered the heating so that if one failed, my system wouldn't become too hot. Since they both tend to turn on a few minutes apart, I have noticed over the past week that one runs significantly more than the other, which suggests that the temperature calibration may be SLIGHTLY incorrect. Overall, Aqueon heaters offer the best value for the money. Sure, there is no need to spend hundreds of dollars on higher-rated heaters with precision down to 1/2 degree. If you are worried about frying your tank, I have a few suggestions. Use multiple heaters and underpower each one by 1. Second, use a controller, such an InkBird, and set the heating temperature to 80 degrees so that the heaters will always receive power. The InkBird will intervene and cut the electricity at the 80 degree point or whatever temperature you set it at if you have a runaway heater that is constantly heating. I recommend 80 degrees because InkBird has a 1 degree accuracy range and you don't want it to be constantly supplying and killing power to your heaters. Additionally, 80 degrees won't kill your fish, especially if you have two heaters with only one in a runaway situation, provided that they are underpowered. I advise you to size your heaters at 75% of their maximum capacity. Assume your system required a single 100 watt heater, for instance. instead, get two heaters that are 75 watts. The story goes as follows: for my birthday, which is in August, my daughter gave me a Betta. He was therefore comfortable in the water at first, but it is December now. Then, a few weeks ago, I discovered that he wasn't eating all that much, was hanging out in the tank's bottom, and that his coloring was changing. When he occasionally (rarely) experienced sudden spurts of energy, he was swimming sort of on his side and cockeyed. I was aware of a problem. Online research led me to the conclusion that my Gregory was VERY COLD. He found the water to be very chilly! The apparent option was to get a heater, as suggested online. I kicked it old school with his tank, so I knew he was in a one-gallon glass fish bowl, thus I needed a lesser watt heater to avoid boiling him. I'm too lazy to take the time to unplug it at night and other times. High maintenance wasn't what I wanted. I discovered a 5 watt will work after doing much investigation. Although it took many hours to reach his preferred water temperature (78-80°) after I purchased it on Amazon, it was WELL WORTH THE WAIT! It took a while for the temperature to reach the desired level because I had also bought a sticker thermometer to stick on the outside of the tank. The unfortunate Gregory was kept in a bowl of lukewarm water throughout the entire process. However, it was worth the wait. The problem with this heater is that, at 5 watts, it will never get hot to the touch. There won't ever be any heat emanating from it. The water temperature will be raised gradually as a result. Therefore, if you don't give it enough time to achieve that optimal temperature, you'll assume it's not working well or at all. Though it is. People, it's only 5 watts; it won't go from 64° to 78° in an hour! My betta and I are both ecstatic about this heater! As of today, he is cheerfully swimming around, eating once again, and his colour is gradually returning to normal. His colors won't likely return to being vivid right away. It simply makes sense that it will take time for him to regain his vibrancy if it took time for him to lose it. My recommendation is to get a thermometer along with the heater and KNOW it will take several hours—4 hours, to be exact—to heat your water to the proper temperature. Once it reaches that temperature, it keeps it there, so you won't have to worry about it rising past the ideal level. Additionally, when placing it in your tank, make sure it is close to the bottom—not touching it—but close to it. My initial location was too high, and the top of the water warmed up while the bottom remained chilly. Once it reached 80°, I moved it, and the entire tank is now warm. I wholeheartedly endorse! This heater gets a thumbs up!

It takes some practice, but once you get it adjusted to your tank, it maintains temperature really well. Suction cups must be positioned upward and away from a heating source. If you don't do that, it will turn on and produce a lot of clicking noise, as others have mentioned. It is situated in a 120-gallon tank right next to the Fluval FX4's input. It doesn't require much labor, although at first, it can be a little frightening because it isn't completely blacked out and flashes brightly at night. Additionally, unlike Marineland waste heaters, it has not at all filled with water or humidity. Finally, I can trust the temperature in the tank even if I check it frequently. We can now travel without being concerned about our Marineland heater's frequent failures. There are now Aqueon heaters in all four tanks. After numerous Marineland heater failures and returns, we are incredibly happy and delighted with them. Thanks to Aqueon, a heater deity is watching over our fish. Our Acians concur...
