After using another brand for quite a few years, we've been using the Python for about a year, I believe, and, with ONE exception, this one performs better. We had to replace ALL GASKETS with pink garden hose-style rubber gaskets because the tube is too narrow for our tanks greater than 29. Absent that, the system leaked.HOW PERFORMS THIS IN OUR BIGGER TANKS?The bigger tanks are easy to clean thanks to this adapter. This attachment, which I originally bought for a 75-gallon tank that I have yet to set up, makes cleaning our 36-bow front and 29-gallon tank much simpler. In addition, we quickly replace the water by using the green hook over the top. For the 75 gallon tank, which will require more water for filling, it will be more practical.WARNINGThe black gasket in this attachment should be replaced with a rubber garden hose gasket, just a word of caution (those pink ones). Otherwise, it will leak. Since we made this update to the entire system, it has gone from being almost ready to return to being great. Strong and without leaks.THE CONCLUSIONThis attachment is perfect for bigger tanks and is easier to manage so that your hands are not always submerged in the tank. It works perfectly as long as the gasket is changed out for one made of the same rubber used for garden hoses. Since my 29 is deeper than any of my other tanks, I needed a longer tubed siphon to clean the substrate of this tank. It's much more difficult to gravel vac with the conventional tube I had at 18 inches deep for a 29 gal. This tube size's 20-inch label is accurate. Since this siphon has a tube section that is 20 inches long and a variety of sizes indicated when I first raised the question, it's possible that the reviews were of distinct siphons. Perfect length to reach the bottom of my 29 without getting soaked up to my armpits!And for $10, the price was fantastic! very worthwhile. On my Python, I wish I could swap it out, but those connections are pretty well soldered together on that green part. My smaller ones came off with ease. I believe the connection would likely lighten up after utilizing it for a longer period of time, or perhaps I'm just a weakling, LOL. However, it's not a problem for me right now because my faucet isn't compatible with Python, which is why I'm making this buy. Once more, I adore it and heartily recommend it for tanks that are deeper, such a 29-gallon tank that is 18 inches deep.Also of excellent quality is this brand. Other ones I've had have gotten walked on accidently, and they haven't cracked! They were expertly crafted. I heartily suggest.

Our kitchen sink is around 12 feet away from our fish tank. The "25 Foot - Python No Spill Clean and Fill Aquarium Maintenance System" was incompatible with my kitchen sink's newer model faucet because it had a built-in vegetable sprayer. That's why I purchased this item. Every siphon device I discovered that was similar to this one was just 6 feet or less, and I didn't want to use a bucket. After I bought this equipment, I was able to get around the issue by lengthening the hose.I went to the hardware store and bought the following things to get around the issue of needing to extend the hose:1. 1/4 in ID Nylon Hose BarbClamp made of stainless steel 2. 1/4" to 5/8" (2 pack) (2 pack)3. A big spindle of 3/8" OD x 1/4" ID vinyl tubing was available at the hardware shop. I just pulled 10 feet and then cut it to the required length.I've included two photos showing the steps I took to expand the tube. Now that I have a "Python Squeeze Siphon Starter Aquarium Adapter," when I need to empty the tank for cleanings, all I have to do is run the tube the 12 feet, squeeze it a couple of times, and as soon as I see the water beginning to flow down the tubing, I put the hose in the sink's drain and leave the room. There are no messes and the tank is empty when I return 10 to 30 minutes later.Despite the fact that I had to alter this product to meet my needs, I still rate it five stars. The actual product is excellent and well worth the price. This review might be useful to someone in a similar circumstance.

I give this product 5 stars in total.You can see a blue hose next to an expensive white one in two of my pictures. The blue aquarium water/gravel cleaning hose is the subject of this review.I'll start with the white one. It came with a pin-hole leak in the hose and cost me $3 extra. The plastic hose is so fragile and stiff that, based on past experience, I know it will break down after just two or three months. When you plug in the hose, it will extend and eventually lose the seal because it has different-sized ends and doesn't flex back. The hose crimps quite readily and won't uncrimp, therefore it will break there more quickly than it will elsewhere. I rated it a deserving two stars.This blue hose, which is less expensive, is really high-quality. Because it is same on both ends, you can easily get a replacement at the big-box home improvement store if you prefer a shorter or longer one.It is clearly considerably larger than the white one. It is stretched over a 29–30 gallon aquarium for the photographs. Because the hose is so big, it quickly drains the tank, therefore I'm pleased it has a valve!The gravel-cup features a screen to prevent fish from being sucked up, but this also means that loose plant debris might block it. The good news is that if you don't want it, you can insert a dowel into the cup's smaller end and push it out of the broader end.The hose contains a component that prevents crimping, allowing you to mount it to the aquarium glass. LOL This hose is challenging to crimp. If it does crimp, it is sturdy enough to flex back to its original shape without creating a frail bend that could eventually crack the hose.The valve is made of high-quality rubber or plastic with excellent flappers that operate flawlessly and should endure for many years.The plastic used to make the gravel cup is moderately rigid yet flexible—almost rubbery. But use it with caution. The edges of it could crack if they are compressed.The stiff, fairly durable piece of plastic pipe that fits between the hose and the gravel cup is a plug-in. I don't think you'll ever have a problem with it under normal use, but if you force-bend it harder than you should ever do when cleaning an aquarium, it does feel like it could break.The hose is hefty and has a thin gauge that is probably equivalent to schedule 40. Compared to other cleaner hoses I've used, it is heavier.To clean the gravel if I used it in my 40 Gallon tall (I'm trying to find it a new home), I would have to dip my fingers a tiny bit into the water. But it's the ideal size for tanks that are 20, 30, and 55 gallons.I've got my 10-gallon tank up there. I had to hold my hand fairly high over the aquarium because of the long tubing. I have to keep the valve cranked down because of the quick flow in order to avoid removing too much water.The flow is initiated by one pump in any tank.The gravel cup is the sole aspect of this item that is considered "cheap." Although it is far better than the white one in the image, you still need to take care to keep it safe. It ought to last for many years if you do.I offer this 4.6 stars, which can only be flagged as 5 stars because of the gravel cup. I believe this product deserves the five stars I gave it. Another one that I've been using makes use of a brief plastic tube with a 3 "I never liked having to extend my entire arm in a 55g tall object to get to the bottom! After using it for ten years, it eventually broke, allowing me to purchase a new one. This is the one I purchased, and I adore it. It's so simple. I simply connected the two tubes and touched them to the tank's bottom (24 ") and start with just 4-5 pumps! I immediately took the ditritus out after pushing the tip down into the substrate. Only twice did I need to shake the substrate out of the tube's bottom inch! I adore how little water it draws out, allowing me to clean the entire substrate in a single cleaning. I was never able to completely wipe the bottom at once because the other one drained water so quickly. Even after separating the tubes, I used it to clean my tiny 5 gallon container. I would strongly advise doing this! I'm extremely happy with it, and the fact that I don't have to touch the aquarium is much better for my 8-year-old Angels. Purchase this right away!

I was on the fence about purchasing this, but I was weary of cleaning the water and goldfish out of my fish tanks. The goldfish deteriorate rapidly. A small amount of bottom stirring followed by pumping into a bigger bucket was one item that worked. I also cleaned my kitchen sink with this LinkinsLegacy product. A little plastic container that got caught in the disposal caused it to become clogged. Other applications for this are coming to mind! I've only had it a short while, but I was seeking for anything, and despite my concerns, it has been used four times without leaking. I was astonished by how well it performed because I had anticipated it to be flimsy and useless like other items I had paid more for. However, the positive reviews convinced me to buy it, and they proved to be accurate. With just a few pumps, water was drawn into the hose right away, but I was still able to move the hose about easily to "vacuum" the bottom. The tube's length was ideal for my aquarium's (12") height, but it offers an extension in case I had needed it. The scraper also performed effectively. The clip did an excellent job of holding the hose in place on the bucket because it is long and flexible, making it simple to reach my bucket. I'm quite happy with this purchase!
