I'm really happy I gave this a shot. It is simple to secure using zip ties to suction cups or hooks as well as to the object itself, and crabs can simply climb it. It creates stable shelves and climbing walls. It looks beautiful and is simple to cut with wire snips. The egg crate light louvers from the hardware store would be less expensive if you needed to cover a wide area. However, I wouldn't think twice ordering this again if you only need to cover a lesser area. Additionally, it is less fragile and more flexible than the egg crate.I've utilized this as a shelf in the picture. It is incredibly robust and contains a coconut home, moss, various shells, and a ceramic decoration. One of my crabs, Coco, has claimed the area, and she fiercely defends it several times per week!In order to conserve plants and produce for later use, I also use a spare piece to air dry them. It is a fantastic low-tech solution for drying their food because it allows air to move underneath and around it.There are so many uses for this product, in my opinion. Since I am building a box to go on top of my tank for my turtle to bask in, I decided against getting suction cups. He's a really huge dude, so I had to double them. In order for it to sit comfortably on top of the tank, I also had to grind some of the tabs on. It would be much simpler to utilize them if they could clip together at a 90-degree angle. Overall, they are performing as I had anticipated.

The product is well made and has a smaller grid than the large white egg crate sheets that you can get at Lowes or Home Depot (HD). The latter is frequently referenced in previous articles on numerous aquascaping websites, but I can no longer find it offered in black at either large box store, so I'm delighted to discover this item on Amazon.I tried to save money by purchasing one of those bigger sheets initially (4ft x 2ft for $11.95 at HD), but I'll only be utilizing it as a support under large ornamental rocks on the aquarium bottom because of the white hue and slightly larger grid. When used as a tank divider, some of the smaller cattle can pass through the HD grid or will at least be enticed to try. These black snap-together ones are significantly more aesthetically beautiful, act as a greater barrier against animals, and conceal the inevitable discoloration caused by helpful microorganisms that eventually colonize the surface.An Aqueon 29 gallon tall can divide it in half with the exact measurements or fit against a rear or side wall without needing to be trimmed.Two were required for the ten gallon, which were snapped together to form a betta divider. I had to trim one of the sections approximately two-thirds of the way in order to make the long side fit the height of the tank exactly. Wire cutters made simple work of cutting through the plastic bars.The plastic clips fit so firmly that joining two sections together is surprisingly difficult; it takes a while to get anywhere. Because it is comprised of separate parts, you won't have to worry about it being flimsy or disintegrating on you while you are underwater. To acquire that satisfying snap, I eventually discovered that I needed to lay the components flat on a table and then bang the tab in with the heel of my hand, a rubber mallet, or a tool of a similar nature.It'll make for a fantastic moss wall. I purchased this partition to keep apart two fish that, after being introduced, began to nibble at one another. Since I lacked a second tank large enough to move one permanently, I looked for an alternative and discovered tank dividers. Many of the ones I noticed had incredibly tiny holes, which worried me about the tank's proper filtering on both sides. This partition appeared to provide the most water flow across the tank while having openings that were too small for the fish to squeeze through or get caught in.A 10 gallon aquarium divider was one of the top results I found on Amazon when I searched for one. Since I had been looking for a 10 gallon divider, I assumed the dimensions would be correct when I first read them, but it turned out to be little over an inch too large. I should have double-checked my aquarium's dimensions, which was my fault, but I wanted to bring it up in case someone else made the same mistake. The good news is that I was able to adjust it so that it was closer to 10.5 inches by removing 3 of the "squares" along the long edge. The utility of the divider was unaffected by doing that.It was a little difficult for me to install it at first because my aquarium has a lip at the top that is narrower than the aquarium's actual walls. Because of this, it had to go in at an angle with the suction cups already connected, and I had to straighten it once it had passed the lip. Once mounted, it seemed solid and was never able to move by itself.Water flow appears to be good, there is movement on the tank's surface on the side where the filter is located, and I've tried to test water collected from both sides of the divider to ensure that the entire tank is filtering effectively.

Finally, a functional tank divider. Although I don't often write reviews, I thought this product deserved one. I tried a ton of different things and spent over $60 on one that didn't even fit the tank. Others, the cichlids would labor over till they toppled them, dug beneath them, tore them...basically, they would find a way through or construct one. I was unable to zip up my hoods because some of them had clips. This one covers every angle. I own a Marineland 55g tank. There is no need to explore past this because it is complete from top to bottom. I can close my hoods and they can't knock it over because it stays put and never moves. It doesn't really affect circulation either; with any divider, there will inevitably be some disruption. I can't speak for tanks of other sizes, but mine fit perfectly. Assembly took two minutes, and the setup time for the tank was five. On one side, the black color makes it difficult to notice the fish, whereas on the other, it does. When you are separating really aggressive fish, this greatly reduces stress. The absolute greatest, most well-thought-out solution for a divider currently available. Friends in fins, keep up the fantastic effort!
