Lee's Airline Tubing, 25-Foot, Standard Review:

Excellent airline! It stays single on whatever you have it attached to and is quite simple to plug air stones, valves, and other things without heating the tube, which is why I like it. I have one 20 gallon air pump and two 10 gallon tanks, so I connected one line to the air pump before using two valves to divide the cable in half for the two tanks. I had purchased a smaller-diameter air tubing from the pet store, and it was difficult to attach anything to it.

Python No Spill Clean and Fill Aquarium Maintenance System Review:

REVISED – I was able to solve the issue mentioned in the PRIOR REVIEW below. I figured there had to be a fix for the issue, which I discovered at a neighborhood plumbing supply shop in St. Petersburg rather than a Home Depot. Although the Home Depot employees are friendly, they are not plumbers. Therefore, they don't have a lot of experience to draw from when you explain your problem. The attachment I required cost $3.64, and the plumbing supply store had it in stock. The first four images in the gallery below this review show the stationary tub hose I was attempting to attach to. The fifth image displays two brass attachments; the one on the left is the one that comes with the Python, and the one on the right is what the supply store plumber quickly located for me. The brass attachment and subsequently the Python green attachment are affixed to the stationary tub hose in photos six and seven, respectively. Now that everything is working flawlessly, I have upgraded my rating to 5 stars. Observe this. You will require another brass adaptor to connect the green Python connection to the hose if you're trying to attach the Python to a hose from which you removed a central spray handle. It is a male brass connector measuring 1.5 inches. At Home Depot, I'm positive they carry them. It's only that I couldn't have found what I wanted without speaking to a plumber at a plumbing supply store. Make sure your faucet has an aerator that can be unscrewed from the faucet if you're not planning to connect the Python to a sprayer hose connection at your kitchen sink or stationary tub. The Python-supplied adaptor will only connect to that location. By the way, Python sent me a flier in the mail. View the eighth image. Because they are now offering optional attachments for sale on their website, they must be receiving a lot of complaints that their connector does not suit a wide variety of faucets.PRIOR REVIEW - My house has semi-modern Moen faucets, including spray-type faucets in the kitchen and laundry area. However, I have no idea how these other folks are attaching this gadget to their faucets. Nothing we've tried to attach this item to in our home, even the faucets, has worked. Additionally, we visited Home Depot in an effort to locate an adaptor for the stationary tub. They saw us as aliens from Mars. I've included pictures of the stationary tub that we were unsuccessfully trying to use the Python brass adapter on. The brass Python attachment's diameter prevents it from screwing into the attachment on the stationary tub hose. After looking at the pictures, if anyone has any suggestions, I would be very grateful. I would also be extremely interested in seeing pictures of how someone has successfully attached this item to a faucet in their home. Send pictures and ideas to lauren9409 at hotmail.com. They would be highly valued. Therefore, this item is essentially worthless, and unless I can locate some kind of adapter or another means to connect it to another faucet in our home, it will be returned to Amazon. The takeaway from this is to make sure when you get this that the Python attachment will fit on one of your faucets that are close to your tank.

TERA PUMP Genuine Aquarium Fish Tank Gravel Sand Cleaner Long Nozzle Water Changer Flow Controller BPA Free TRFTCLN Review:

I'll admit that it has been more than ten years since I last bought an aquarium suction cleaner. My old dependable syphon cleaner died after 15 years of constant use, which is the only reason I decided to get one right now. In light of this, it appears that people's methods for cleaning their tanks have altered. This cleaner definitely outperforms my belated cleaner in terms of features and upgrades, but my main concern is that it is not built with the same level of durability as old reliable. Even though I might not use this cleaner for anywhere close to 15 years, I will still love using it while it is in my possession. The pump action suction is, in my opinion, the best feature of this cleaner. Anyone who has ever had to submerge a cleaner's entire, enormous, mile-long hose will quickly recognize how incredible this feature or enhancement is. Then, a suction cup so you may leave while draining the tank of water? Brilliant. Even an attachment to change the type of material you are cleaning is available with this cleaner. Finally, a flow control nearly sent me into a tailspin during the opening round. If you have never used a cleaner like this and have just just emerged from the cave with your ancient cleaner, I advise you to set the flow to completely restricted. This will bring it the closest to your trusty old suction and start the learning process.Although the waste water bucket can be placed on a chair for an immediate solution that also benefits your back, this cleaner does appear to be made of a lighter plastic than my old one, and the hose coming out of the tank is shorter. Nevertheless, not having to worry about total submersion and having options is amazing.

Pawfly7-13 Feet Airline Tubing Standard Aquarium Air Pump Accessories with Air Stones, Check Valves, Suction Cups and Connectors Review:

It is silent and lacks a suction, yet it does the intended function nicely. Considering that all it is really is air tubing and attachments...It's possible that I pulled too hard or that one of the valves broke quite readily, but I'm going to chalk it up to user mistake rather than a flaw in the product. You can use it in conjunction with other air pumps and tubing accessories, and it fits all types of standard air tubing. Right now, the check valve functions properly. Additionally good are the air rocks.I didn't check the length, but it was plenty for my needs. The little suction cups can separate because it appears to be two separate pieces overall rather than just one, but they still function adequately.

VIVOSUN Air Stone 4 x 2 Inch Large Air Stone Cylinder for Aquarium and Hydroponics Air Pump Review:

Some of them do; others don't. They work with the drip irrigation tubing and manifolds that can be purchased, which, in my experience, are more dependable and long-lasting than the typical pond supplies. I own a few sets of eight, and I've used them for years with only the odd cleaning—typically, a quick scrape with a dishrag while the stones are in use. If you have fish and clean your stones with chlorine bleach, dry them thoroughly in the sun and possibly pre-soak them in water that contains sodium thiosulfate (you won't need much; you can find it at pool supply stores).

Pawfly Aquarium Suction Cup Clips Airline Tube Holders/Clamps for Fish Tank, Clear 0.2 Inch Review:

These are incredible; we use them to secure an air line for our bubbler to the interior and exterior of the tank, and they haven't come apart or snapped off. To anyone, I would heartily suggest them. Please remember that we have a glass tank; I'm not sure how well the plastic substitutes work.

VIVOHOME Commercial Air Pump 32W 950GPH 6 Outlets for Aquarium Fish Tank Aquaponics and Hydroponic Systems Review:

Noise levels are definitely somewhat below 60 dbA, as stated in the specifications. Yes, if you place this in your living room it will be quite loud, but they informed you that before you got it, so you can't deduct stars for that.In addition, it's hot. In the open air, the temperature is often between 130 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit. This isn't inherently terrible (I've just had it for a few weeks, so I'm not sure about longevity with that king of heat, but... no problems yet), but it is too hot to handle with your hands (over 120°F can cause burns), and you should never put it in an enclosed space without any ventilation. Keep in mind that if your tank already has heat issues, this will pump air that is 110 degrees or higher into it. If necessary, you can remove some of the heat from the air stream by installing a coil of 3/8" copper tubing between the pump and your air manifold. In addition, it produces a TON of air and keeps the pressure stable even at high flow rates. If you only have one or two small air stones, this is not the pump for you because it tends to have issues (and gets hotter) if you dead-head it by more than 50%.This is an excellent little pump for the price if you require a LOT of air flow and some high head pressure.

SunGrow Aquarium Gravel Cleaner Kit with Priming Bulb, 2-Minutes to Assemble, BPA Free, Easy-to-Use, Perfect for Small Fish Tanks Review:

I have a somewhat little tank (although it is described as being 3.5 gallons). I can barely add slightly more than 2.5 gallons of water to it. Since I had never used a siphon before, it took me a few tries to get the feel of it. This was largely due to the fact that I had initially placed the incorrect end in the water. Just so you know, the part that is slim is the discharge, and the end that is farthest from the blue bulb goes into your tank. But after I actually read the instructions, this worked really well. I could see sand or microscopic gravel being drawn into the tube by the siphon suction, which is constructed much like a sieve; nevertheless, I had no problems with my regular-sized gravel. This removed a lot of waste from the bottom and quickly drained the water. The fact that my fish was given to me as a white elephant gift and that I've had to gradually acquire equipment with each paycheck means that it isn't ideal, but I didn't expect it to be. Daily water changes, which I've been performing, haven't been able to remove the filth that has built up on the bottom for about a month, and I didn't anticipate using the siphon to make the difference either. I anticipate that my betta will be much happy now that I can properly clean his tank and maintain low nitrate levels by being able to get rid of trash.

Can you have too many air stones in an aquarium?

You can have too many air stones in an aquarium if they are not properly placed. Too many air stones can create too much turbulence in the water and make it difficult for fish to swim.

Can you over oxygenate a fish tank?

Oxygen is one of the most important elements for sustaining aquatic life, so it stands to reason that too much of a good thing could be harmful. And while it is possible to over oxygenate a fish tank, it is not a common occurrence. Fish need oxygen to breathe, and the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water is a key factor in determining the health of an aquarium. Most fish require a minimum dissolved oxygen concentration of 5 parts per million (ppm), and most aquariums are able to maintain this level without issue. However, if the oxygen level

Do air pumps help with algae?

Do air pumps stress fish?

While air pumps are not typically known to stress fish, there are a few potential exceptions. If the air pump is too powerful, it can create a strong current that can be stressful for some fish. Additionally, if the air pump is not properly maintained, it can create a noisy environment that can also stress fish.

Do air stones add oxygen to water?

Air stones are often used in aquariums and fish tanks to add oxygen to the water. By bubbling air through the water, it increases the surface area of the water that is exposed to the air. This allows for more oxygen to be dissolved into the water, which can be beneficial for the fish and other aquatic creatures living in the tank.
