PVC primer is a specially formulated compound designed to clean and prepare the surface of PVC pipe and fittings for bonding with PVC cement. Although acetone is a strong solvent that can be used to clean PVC pipe, it is not recommended for use as a PVC primer.
Bonding primer can be sanded in order to create a smooth surface for the paint to adhere to. The sanding process will also help to remove any imperfections on the surface of the primer.
Bonding primer is designed to adhere to surfaces that are difficult for paint to stick to, such as glossy surfaces or surfaces with a lot of texture. You don't necessarily have to paint over bonding primer, but if you want to achieve a smooth, even finish, it's best to apply a topcoat of paint.
Bonding primer is designed to adhere to surfaces that are difficult for paint to stick to, such as glossy surfaces or surfaces that have been previously painted. Because of its adhesive properties, bonding primer typically only needs one coat. However, if the surface is particularly difficult to paint, or if the primer is being applied to a large area, two coats may be necessary.

I installed a wood grain trim kit for the interior of my truck, but not all of the pieces stayed in place and began to lose adhesion to the dash board and various other places. The company was a pain to deal with and claimed I didn't prep properly, lol. I was basically told to use some kind of adhesion product to reapply the trim pieces. At first, I was skeptical, but after looking at Amazon's products, I became more confident.Excellent product but may stain plastic or anything else it comes in contact with, therefore taping around the application site seems like a nice idea to avoid overapplication.Very highly advised

Although it comes in a size that is larger than most people will need or want, it doesn't spoil and can actually make a difference. Therefore, acquire it and hold onto it until you require it once more.In my Glock MOS, I was having a fit attempting to prevent the screws for a red dot RMR sight from backing out. First time I used Loctite 243. I cleaned everything with acetone before letting the Loctite sit for a day. About 900 rounds later, the screws started to losen up. I then gave Vibra-Tite VC-3 a try. Prior to the screws beginning to loosen, that was effective for roughly a thousand rounds. Finally, at my wits' end, I purchased this primer and tried it with Loctite 243. To check if the screw heads moved, I snapped a photo with my phone. After more than 3,000 rotations, they haven't moved at all.Even if I don't think I need it, I will now use this item whenever I use Loctite since it really does make a difference. After purchasing this bottle, you won't be spending any more money doing it that way because of how much you receive in it and how little you need.

My wife's laundry room had the water filters and softener on my well system rebuilt; a lot of PVC is now visible. There were still purple streaks and scars on the old PVC that I removed after installing everything 17 years ago. Wanted to install much more neatly without leaving behind any purple primer marks. Very well done. Simply put, I had to watch out that I didn't forget a glue and primer connection without the purple marker to serve as a reminder. The clear primer worked well for this project, but I would go with the purple primer if I was piping inside a wall or beneath a house.

I was introduced to this product through my fencing business. They utilized it to re-galvanize weldable fence junction pieces. It resembles brand-new, sparkling galvanization (nice and shiny galvanized metal). I've tried several cold galvanizing paints from different manufacturers, but they all turn out a dismal gray that is far from the same color as the original galvanization (they work fine however). This product is what you need if you want something that looks shiny and galvanized.

I was looking for a primer that would just need a minimal amount, and this one was ideal. I didn't want to spend so much money on a 3M primer that I would never use. In my 2003 Suburban, I replaced the driver-side quarter panel glass, and this method worked perfectly to prime any spots that had been scraped or cleaned all the way to the metal during the removal of the other glue. Excellent applicator, rapid drying

This is merely a primer and not a glue. When using 2-part epoxy to glue plastic parts together, it works great and is really useful to ensure a good bond. Because Amazon did not have this when I needed it six months ago, I purchased the identical 2 oz. bottle that is shown. Since it has been so useful to me, I thought I'd post something after just noticing that they have it. Please exercise caution since many adhesives and chemicals are highly dangerous; thus, use with great ventilation and, if feasible, wear an organic respirator or mask. Security first!
Primer is designed to improve adhesion by providing a smooth, even surface for paint to adhere to. It can also help to fill in small cracks and imperfections in the surface.
Adhesion primer is a paint product that helps ensure that paint will adhere to a surface. It is typically used on surfaces that are difficult for paint to adhere to, such as metal or glass. Adhesion primer can also be used on surfaces that have been painted before but the paint is no longer adhering well.
Adhesives and primers are not the same. Adhesives are used to attach two surfaces together, while primers are used to prepare a surface for painting or other finishes.
No, an activator is not a primer. A primer is a substance used to prepare a surface for painting or other surface treatment.
Bonding primer and adhesion promoter are similar but not the same. Bonding primer is used to promote adhesion between the substrate and the coating material, while adhesion promoter is used to promote adhesion between the substrate and the adhesive.
Zinsser 123 is a great bonding primer. I have used it to successfully prime many different surfaces, including glass, metal, and even plastic. It provides a great foundation for your paint job, and it will help your paint to last longer.
